I was entered into a Facebook group called "Collaborative Food Photography." I am not a food photographer, so I was surprised. This was the first assignment.
Strobist: B800 in a large softbox angled overhead, f/16. Silver reflector forward. White reflector to the right. Everything except the reflectors triggered by PWs. setup shot.
The lens ID in the EXIF is also not right; it is in fact the Sigma 105mm macro.

every tuesday my wife and friends get together for a sewing club, this week is their christmas do so i am cooking their dinner. The boys decided to help prep the sprouts, a good job they did too.
Another test picture using my recently acquired collapsible Industar 10 (FED10) 50mm f3.5 wide open. Not an inspiring image by any means, but a revealing one. No cropping or sharpening, just adjustment of lights, darks and contrast.
A new necklace I made of wood and wool.
I shaped the piece of oak from a limb I hauled in from the woods and needled in some hand-dyed wool to suggest moss. I then embroidered a little bit of growth on the piece to suggest sporophytes and sprouts.
i know this shot isn't spectacular by any means, but discovering these sprouting daffodil bulbs pretty much made my day
Hymenocallis coronaria, "Rocky shoals spider lily". They are being returned to natural habitats...which means being jammed into cracks between rocks in the the rapids of the Saluda River, among other places.
Enemy of the people or just good for you?
The Brussels sprout is a member of the cabbages family.
These are being sold on the stalk, not usually how we see them in the shops.
