Another vision of the same place, same flowers, same background, same exposure. A swirling, dreamy take on spring.
Sorry about previous post. The more I thought about it, the less I liked it. I apologize to anyone who saw it, liked it, and faved it.

Last stop before leaving Kentucky and wanted to take something with me. Never sure I'll be back this way again.
Since this is the night we turn our clocks ahead.....damn daylight savings time! .....and this original photo was of Spring flowers, I though it an appropriate title.

This little spring is located directly below the Pan Group of statues. The spring is an outflow of the large park lake and feeds the "Teufelsbach" (=devils's creek).

Eureka Springs is located just east of Tampa, Fl. It was once a lush estate served by natural springs, but the construction of the Tampa Bypass Canal nearby caused the springs to stop flowing. While the springs are essentially stagnant, the now county park still houses a botanical garden, greenhouse, and a nice boardwalk. Known for its large amount of ferns, even in the dead of winter the boardwalk is still fairly lush.
One of the reasons that I took a break from Flickr in September was to enter a couple of local calendar contests. I have already been notified that I won the April slot for one calendar. I will be sharing that image soon. The other calendar contest allows the public to choose the winners. If you would like to help me make this calendar as well, you can vote for my entry "Spring Showers." I think it would make a great April photo for this calendar. If you agree, please use the link below to vote. Voting closes on the 12th, so there is not much time left. Thanks!
Its spring time in China.

A close up of one of my potted cacti in bloom this spring. Although, Tucson Arizona had a severe three day freeze, the cactus and other hardy desert plants have survived extremely well.
Table Rock, Linville Gorge, NC
I recently made my first trip up to Table Rock since the fire back in November. I was relieved to see that there were only isolated burnt areas along the trail and not much damage on the top portion that I covered. The serviceberry trees were in bloom which signals the beginning of spring in these parts.

Hope you are having a good one today? While we are waiting for a tulip season here in Chicago, as a proper spring introduction, I will leave you with some prairie flowers! What do you think?
Tomorrow is the first day of spring and the weather has certainly felt that way for the last few days.
All the bulbs are starting to come up and flower.
This petite daffodil is part of a lovely plant given to me by a friend.
Daffodils are so beautiful both in color and shape I wish we could enjoy them for a longer period of time.
finally got the chance to process something that i took a month ago. spring is getting old already. not sure i like it, we shall see.
Adding to the contrasts in spring are the usually still snow covered mountains in the distance, my cherished 80-200mm AI-S just loves to reach out to them. Hard not to like it..

Spring is coming!!! So maybe we can call this a Easter dress?? Took down all the laundry room pics and hope u all liked them?? Need to answer some queations for some of u. The kitchen cabinets are hickory and the pocket door is pine, so yes it was hard to try and match the colors. The laundry room floor is just a vinyl, but I like it alot!!! Yes I was going to say the home remodeling is done???? But LOL I got to looking at the bath room and it needs work LOL!!! So after I give my hands a brake( been hurting pretty bad!! Guess I am get old) I will start on that room. Hope everyone likes the new pictures and please say something nice about the shoes LOL!!!
Spring Pixie is done!! I am so excited!!!! (This pic just doesn't do it justice!!!)
After I'd made the final stitches, it seemed like something was missing. The starkness of the white fabric made these little guys look like ghosts, so I took my colored pencils and very lightly filled in the blank spots. It's kinda hard to tell in the pic, but in person the result is pretty cool. I'm very pleased. :)
An old shot recently re-edited, taken from my trip to New Zealand in 2009, at Lake Tekapo. Spring is now upon us in the Northern hemisphere and the sunshine is getting warmer. Despite there always being opportunities for landscape photographers the year round (and in any weather), there is a sense of coming out of hibernation that inspires us to start taking more trips out this time of year. I’m certainly looking forward to capturing the bright splashes of colour and textured skies that Spring is famous for, and feel energised by the extra hours of daylight that can lift one out of the doldrums of Winter. Time to get some fresh air and go for a walk in the country! Spring is coming!
