*UPDATE* : see flic.kr/p/dvDHf2 for 2013 Sep projection from spreadsheet
see also scharts.co/PdWQRZ for live updates of the 52-week trend
now seen 2012 08/aug 22nd : up-ticks in 52-week ROC indicate it's probably time to stack or regret not stacking.

older: flic.kr/p/b3iBqa 2011 dec 27 visual basis & math confirming 277 week ROC pattern
52 and 277 week ROC (rate of change) patterns for gold price action. 277 week pattern holding tight trading channel indications. 52 week mostly following series of triangular patterns indicating +50% (1.5 factor) of price year-over-year or near 0% gains (1.0 factor) in dips. Exception noted with red overlay triangle-shader. 20% to 30% year-over-year gains on 52-week ROC also noted (turquoise around it, darker blue is the channel).
Prices within the dark blue transparent channel are the 52-week model. Prices in the green transparent channel are the 277-week model. Some price-activity will be in both models.

Working with the DoF calculation for all images I made the following spreadsheet
DOF = 2CNU^2/f^2
In Focus = DOF^.5 for 45 degree angle
CoF (C) . . . . . . . . . 0.03
Apertures (N) . . . . 1.8 . . . . . . 3.5 . . . . . . 7.1
Distance (U) . . . . . 394
Lens (mm) (f) . . . . 50
DOF (mm) . . . . . . 6.71 . . . . . . 13.04 . . . . . . 26.45
@45 degrees . . 9.48 . . . . . . 18.44 . . . . . . . 37.41
. . . . . . . . . . . . 0 - 6/16" . . 0 - 12/16" . . . . 1 - 8/16"
The calculated DoF exactly doubles each time, 6/16, 12/16/ 24/16
I focused on the 5" line:
At f/3.5 - DoF is calculated at 6/16". The image looks acceptably sharp to me from around 4 13/16" to 5 2/16" which is about the 6/16" I'd expect. Focus point was aimed at the 5" line. I don't see the distinct 1:2 focus area front to rear on this one as much.

1. In my 1st year of Blythe, I accumulated 15 girls! Nope, I don't do anything half-assed.
2. I am such a nerd, I actually keep an Excel spreadsheet with my girls' stats: Name, Customizer, Price, Additions, Future Plans, Hair color, Fav Colors, etc. I am that weird.
3. I have OCD (among other things). I am VERY specific about my girls names. They all have a certain pattern that fits together with all the others. For instance, there have to be 2 of every first letter. If you look at my girls names, you will see it. Girls up to a certain number, can't have letters that "drop below" the line in cursive. Yes, really.
4. When I started the hobby, I knew absolutely ZERO about photography. I just went thru my Flickr and deleted quite a few of my first photos that I was mortified by.
5. I bought myself a certain middie for Valentine's day. Without even deboxing her, I sold her a month later. I, then, wanted her again so much that I bought another.
6. My husband has no idea about the above! He says, "they all look the same". ????
7. I used to consider myself "crafty" until I discovered this hobby. All the talent and creativity blows my mind!
8. I can open a girl and change her body or scalp with no problem, but I am still terrified to change an eye chip. :( And, I have some girls that I really want to ... badly.
9. I like all my girls on Takara bodies. I like licca bods in pics, but my girls have to be uniform.
10. I have no idea what to do with Blythe hairs (or my own for that matter). Ponys or braids, yep, braids or ponies.
If you've managed to read this far, thank you so much!! You guys are some of the best and funniest people I know.
Give your series a name, and then click on the "Series X value" box. Then click and drag across the cells you want included (time t here). The formula that fills looks ugly, but I think you can understand the parts if you look closely.
Then click on the y box. Click backspace (it has to be backspace, do not press any other button) to delete the ={1} and then click and drag over the cells you want included on the y axis (position y here.)
The order in which you do this matters. It shouldn't but it does. Excel will refuse to give you a graph if you try and do this out of order, and it has been doing this at least since 1997 when I first had to deal with it.
[29710-1650] When I originally made up the spreadsheet of all the Post Offices in the state I must have missed this one, because the only PO I had for Clover was the one about 6 miles east of town near Lake Wylie. It all evened out in the end though because one of the Post Offices I had listed for Lancaster was not one any more and had returned to being just a lingerie shop.
