In Brockhampton church, Herefordshire, which was built in 1906 and the lantern probably dates from then.

'The Matthew' was the boat that John Cabot (an Italian Navigator), who in 1497 sailed from Bristol and (re-) discovered North America mainland since the Vikings. He is believed to have made landfall on the island of Newfoundland.
The 'New Matthew' was built to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Cabot's voyage, and was used to reconstruct Cabot's orginal voyage; sailing into port Bonavista, Newfoundland on 24 June 1997.

I mentioned in my past life I was a skate photographer. Well the local skateshop in San Diego, where I used to attend school, recently asked to use some photos for their upcoming event flyer. I was happy to help and didn't really expect anything except some photo credits. To my surpise they sent me a complete longboard in the mail today! This is dedicated to the greatest skateshop in all the land!
P.S. This photo really shines when viewed in full screen! The skateboard graphic is so intricate. So press that "L" button on your keyboard :)
