And both of them want you to slumber on a pillow made of gelatin.

Split, Croatia...

Here we have today at a view point at the A487 are Express Motors East Lancs Myllenium CX53 FBJ and Optare Solo V684 FEL are seen at Caernarfon as CX53 FBJ is on route 5A to Nantlle and V684 FEL is on route 92 to Cae Gwyn.

The crew has just split up the two 38-2's and will leave town with just the 397 and 88 empties. The conductor will put the 398 to bed and then head up to meet the train in Oakley.

Split is the second-largest city of Croatia and the largest city of the region of Dalmatia. It lies on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea and is spread over a central peninsula and its surroundings. An intraregional transport hub and popular tourist destination, the city is linked to the Adriatic islands and the Apennine peninsula.

This image was created for an assignment called split image I believe. I tried to make the palm tree look like a screw and thought they went together well.

I rarely been to Suntec City, Singapore, but I really should re-consider this. The tall pillars and interesting tile facades at the exterior, coupled with it's unobstructed surrounding, allows for some interesting shadows to be casted at different times of the day.

A mother leads her daughter as they past through this composition, split into (almost) half by the shadow of the pillar behind me.

Split, Dalmatia, Croatia

A view from Matejuška, a small fishermen harbour and the last bastion of traditional and very temperamental Mediterranean mentality. I've seen once a nice grafitti on the wall which can explain very well what I've just say about that mentality. ;)

Lake Superior - North Shore

This is probably one of the most photographed areas in Minnesota. We all choose an approach to grasp the sense of open space and serene beauty this place provides. This is my second annual "offical" Split Rock photo.

I'm not sure the camera can really "capture" the true essense of this magical place.

Alley in Diocletian's Palace, Split (Italian: Spalato, Latin: Spalatum), Croatia

The palace was built for Diocletian in the early 4th century. The emperor spent the rest of his life here after his abdication. The complex combines the qualities of a luxury residence with a military camp.

The palace was integrated into the urban texture of the medieval Split. It was "discovered" in the 18th century. Robert Adam, the neoclassical architect studied the palace intensively.

The site is included in the World Cultural Heritage list of UNESCO.

Split is a city in the Croatian region of Dalmatia, on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, centred on the structure of the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian and its bay and port. With a population of 178,192 citizens and a metropolitan area numbering up to 350,000, Split is by far the largest Dalmatian city and the second-largest city of Croatia

The just downstream of Split Rock Falls in New York's Adirondacks. One of my favorite waterfalls in the ADKs, it's super easy to get to (just off Rt 9 south of New Russia) and has many different compositional opportunities. Be aware that if you arrive in the afternoon you'll be shooting into the sun.
