Croatia Roadtrip

First page we worked on in the album. Vintage German text and vintage reproduced image glued between split page of composite mica. This shows better in the photo. In person, the image is very faint, but still has a nice effect.

I LOVE MICA !!!

One of the main promenades in Split, Croatia.

Split croatia 2018

Split, Croatia, August 2006

These split trucks used to collect the old divided bins for garbage and bottles in Wollondilly Shire prior to July 2005. These old bodies were built by a manufacturer called Formark, but their equipment is no longer in production.

Split Toned Grunge created using textures that I captured and then ran through Gradient Mapping and multiple filters.

Full sized textures are found at www.outsidethefray.com.

Split, Croatia is a terminus and all trains calling there need to reverse. Here a GM loco runs round its international sleeper train (to Budapest).

Waves break onto the rocky beach underneath the beautiful Split Rock Lighthouse. I don't think I have been to a more scenic location in my life.

Sigmund Freud's Vacation in Split

There are some hidden points around Split not even many locals know about, and there are those which puzzle anyone who sees them. For example, whenever I'm guiding a tour around the historical city centre, there is a plaque almost everyone will stop and ask "What does it mean?" It's not very visible, placed on a facade of a strange looking, oriental style building in the passage connecting a square locally known as the Fruit Square and Riva. Next to a relief showing widely recognizable face inscription says "Sigmund Freud, father of psychoanalysis stayed in this house in September 1898".

The ever changing look of Birdman (the spectacles are not his, of course...).

After a football match last night and now with a sore neck and back, he definitely feels more like the guy on the left today... ;-)
