This dance "Speeding Cars" was done during the MPAC Spring Showcase 5/17/09
Twinkling lanterns shone high
In the Johnstown night sky
In a fashion not seen for years.
At least not by me. But then again,
When do I scan the starry reaches
For those flickers of radiance?
This night I jogged thud after thud
Of tarry motorway, running fast,
Thinking deep, escaping very far.
Snow had fallen for one whole
Week now. The fields held it
Softly like a newborn baby.
A silver glimmer it was to me
At a time when no sight could have
Filled me this night with as much
Relief and human delight as this,
This wonderful sight.
Everything else kept sparkling
As if it was a snow of closure that
Had fallen.
It was then I realised I was
Emerging from a vast tunnel
And there was light.

Speeding has killed the dodo bird. (Based on an actual "Speeding has killed cassowaries" sign- the red portion is hinged and folds down when deaths have occurred).

The oblong buiding that you see is called Sooka Sentral, an example of creative architecture in Kuala Lumpur. The train is heading towards the hustle and buslte of KL Sentral Station.
Exercise in panning. It is far more difficult than I thought it would be. Used a Two Stop ND Filter to slow the shutter speed.
A longer lens works better.
Sadly, every sign the park puts up means that a bear got killed in that place recently. We saw a few of them.
A southbound Florida Tri-Rail commuter train is seen speeding through Fort Lauderdale on its way to Miami. The locomotive is one of six ex-Norfolk Southern freight locomotives obtained by Tri-Rail and rebuilt for passenger service. The already rare EMD was reclassified after rebuilding as a GP49PH-3, adding further to its rarity. Tri-Rail #813 is ex-NS #4601, which came to the NS from Southern Railway in the merger with Norfolk & Western.
Speeding back towards Broadway Station and the hustle and bustle of society, Sonoma TrainTown Railroad takes its visitors on another 1/2 mile or so trip to reach the end of the line today.

Speeding down Pond St. is TM's 666 (FH54VRY) a Scania L94UB with Wright Solar body, still in the Trent livery used on the service to East Midlands Airport.
Today it is on its way to Crystal Peaks, a shopping centre south of Sheffield.

I was trying to get some decent pictures of this snail using my new speedlite.
I still had to figure out how to get decent settings, so even a snail was moving to fast for me today
Spotted:
Train 402 will soon arrive at Mont-Joli at that rate, on the head end that day were 3 GM engines, 2 SD75Is and a GP38-2, which certainly makes a lashup of my liking!
