Instructions are now available for Ataraxis, my 2018 LEGO creation. You can download to review-or-recreate here. Hearty thanks to Jörg Schwarzländer (@_jsswl_ on instagram) for his awesome effort creating this from the original construction video. The package includes full instructions, parts manifest, and digital .io file covering the ship + stand.

This model’s shaping was inspired by a terrific sketch from Jim Francis, before I started working geometry.

A fly-by view…

There’s also a a construction video on YouTube showing how the build comes together. Other photos, a model file, and parts inventory are also available.

Benny spaceship made for the display "Space Panic" at the french convention Brick à Dole 2017.

Benny was saying spaceship, spaceship, spaceship... it was time to build him a. A cool and fast spaceship that can raid Kessel in 11 parsecs. ^^

This spaceship is a reinterpretation of the famous Lego set "Galaxy Explorer" n°928 #Nostalgie

It was made entirely in SNOT in the spirit of "Neo Classic Space"

As in the original version, I kept the cargo hold at the rear of the ship. The ship opens in 2 and cargo can be loaded.

I followed this spaceship storm through north-central Kansas for several hours.

The SquirrelTron Sciurus Viper-class fighter is the fastest ship in the SquirrelTron Imperial Armada. Powered by two Atomic ACORN reactors, the Sciurus Viper has been clocked completing the Macadamia run in under 12 parsecs. The spacious cockpit accommodates the pilot and gunner in comfort. The turbo plasma lasers funnel destructive energy directly from the ACORN reactors, instantly vaporizing the fuzzy invaders' enemies. The fully integrated quadruped landing struts ensure a quick takeoff and landing.

The Raygun Gothic Rocketship is a retro-futurist art sculpture in the shape of a giant rocketship. It was created by Bay Area artists Nathaniel Taylor, Sean Orlando, and David Shulman.

The exhibit stands 40 feet tall and weighs 13,000 pounds.[1][2] The ship was built with 3 walkable decks. The interior is divided into the Engine Room & Life-Sciences Bio Lab, Crew Quarters & Navigation, and the upper Flight Deck and pilot chair.[3] The interior includes artistic details such as captured "alien specimens" and a zero gravity bed.[4] Creating the rocket required the work of 85 artists, engineers, fabricators, scientists and computer engineers.[4]

The creators described the art as "a future-rustic vision of yesterday’s tomorrow".[3] A San Francisco newspaper said it "offers a retro-futuristic, highly-stylized vision of space travel".[1]

The Rocket was originally created as an art installation for the 2009 Burning Man Festival in Black Rock Desert, Nevada.[2][5] In 2010 it was moved and featured at a Yuri's Night celebration at NASA Ames Research Center,[4] as well as a second appearance at the Bay Area Maker Faire.[3] Later in 2010 the Rocket was moved and installed as a temporary art exhibit at Pier 14 in San Francisco.[1] It remained standing in San Francisco for 14 months.[1]

Presently the Rocketship is permanently installed next to the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum, at the Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado.[6]

In the year 2528, After the Velonnian Imperium suffered several of its initial defeats in its war with the GC-backed Khent-sa navy, which resulted in the Imperium's fuel supplies being crippled, the Imperator sought out ways to keep its nearly-immobilized fleets effective.

By the advice of Lord-Admiral Sirius Torstan, additional emphasis was placed on the production of support ships, such as the Nimbus-class Heavy Frigate. The goal was to use them as long-ranged scouting ships, which could alert larger Imperial fleets to enemy movements without expending much fuel.

Emphasis was placed on a small ship that could hold its own against an enemy force long enough to relay the enemy's position to nearby fleets then escape intact. The Nimbus was one of the most-used craft, due to its balance of firepower and resilience to agility, and dozens of craft patrolled the FTL routes between the Imperium's vulnerable Coreward worlds on a constant basis.

Unfortunately, the strategy was short-lived. The GC quickly caught on, and began employing dedicated hunter groups to seek out the scouts and destroy them. These groups were highly efficient at detecting and killing the Imperium's limited supply of frigates, but at the same time were too small to warrant larger fleets jumping in to save the lone frigates. Very soon, the Imperium found itself back at square one.

The frigate shown here is adorned with a large animal skull. While the ceremonial practice was quite popular before the war period, it quickly became impractical to purchase the ornaments for all of the Imperium's light warships. After a decade had passed, the practice had mostly died out.

Fourth wall:

This was a small, quick build for a contest, but it turned out well I think. My favorite thing is the Bionicle armor shell piece on the front, which I was originally gonna try and use as a command bridge structure (like the actual command bridge), but it didn't work. So then I thought, "Y'know what? That looks sorta like a skull..." And voila! Imperial ships are now accessorized with giant alien skulls.

This is one of those shots that I must get every time I am at Walt Disney World. This massive structure is so amazing up close and in person. Although I have many versions of this shot, I feel like every time I shoot it, there's a different outcome. I was lucky enough to be one of the last ones out of the park this evening, I got to take my time in this area to shoot, but I didn't want to stay past my welcome. i hope everyone has a great weekend and thanks for looking.

Thought it looked like some Sci-fi space ship.

Finally I was able to get out and shoot again after a very long time. Been very busy at work shit full.

So I was at the 155th graduation ceremony of our school this morning (not my graduation though), got a couple of decent shots to work with. Special thanks to my friend Josh for letting me use his tripod and 50D.

Wishing everyone a happy weekend!

Benny has been very excited ever since he heard his Spaceship will be released soon. He's been running around the house saying "Spaceship, Spaceship, Spaceship!" for weeks.

When I took this photo (May 14th) Benny was running around in anticipation but it turns out that our local Lego Store received the set today! We just stopped by and got one so now Benny is even more excited :-)

MART - Museo d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto

Decided last night to take a couple detail shots using my 2x teleconverter with my 80-200mm f/2.8. It was a different look at the lovely structure!

The HSS Ceyda is a moderately sized, but fully equipped hospital spaceship (HSS). Once built by the Lego Space Federation to help out in the Great Blacktron War, it now mainly goes on humanitarian missions, traveling from system to system to offer medical services wherever she can. It is equipped with an emergency room, surgery room, sterilization room, radiological services (including CT), rehabilitation center, doctor's office, dentist office, optometry office, laboratory, pharmacy, wards, cafeteria, 10 escape pods, and more. Space travelers can park their small ships in the parking hangar and either submit themselves into the hospital or visit patients. Or, when a distress signal is received nearby, an ambulance shuttle is dispatched to go and bring potential patients back to the hospital. There are tools on the ambulance landing pad to service the vehicle, but for more extensive repairs, the ambulance can enter the cargo and repair bay in the back. Of course, there is also a large bridge as well as a lounge and quarters for the captain and crew. The ship has no weapons, but it has an extra powerful shield generator to protect its passengers. Attacking the HSS Ceyda is considered a war crime by the Space Police.

This is my first SHIP and my entry for this year's SHIPtember. It is 147 studs long and features a full interior which can be removed like drawers or accessed through a removable roof. This ship is an idea that I have had for over 10 years now and I am so excited to finally have realized it. I will share detailed pictures of the interior soon, so stay tuned!

This build is dedicated to all the brave medical professionals that have worked so hard this year to keep us all safe, including my awesome sister who is a D.O. and who this ship is named after. It serves as a reminder that as long as we have heroes like them and we listen to them, we can make it through this difficult time and survive into the far future where such a spaceship could be a reality.

You recognized him ? I wanted to make this ship a wink to SpongeBob.

The small challenge was to divert a piece to build the ship : 64776 - Black Die 6 Sided

To complicate my life, I built the majority of my gear in "Tripod" version... This one has 3 "legs".
