Photoshop space art

Just an idea I once got...

This is my design of a Space Shuttle that's in scale to the LEGO ISS model 21321. The shuttle included in the official space station model is actually way too small so I made a new one.

You can download the PDF instructions (for free) to build this model on my website www.thilo-schoen.de/lego.html. Hope you like it!

I recently acquired two large tubs full of early 90s Lego from Goodwill. It’s a treasure trove of classic parts with stuff that was released before my time (even though a portion of the parts can be described as being in an “extremely used” and condition). This model is the result of my recent purchase.

Even thought I didn’t grow up with Space Police 2 I wanted to try my hand at the theme using basic techniques and minimal use of modern parts. I don’t that have printed prison canopy so instead of a prison cell unit I opted to add in a speeder that is detached from the underside and held with a magnet.

The Trunk Space is a gallery / theatre / music venue / eclectic place, that fits in perfectly on Grand Avenue. But the coolest thing about it has to be the mural on the side of the building. Love this one!

Finally (for now) the other racer I made last year but never got around to photograph individually.

Built for the Lego contest to make a free small giveaway set using only standard town/creator/CMF parts.

A small build that is a tribute to the small space sets from the early to mid 90s that I loved so much in my childhood. I thought I'd done quite well as its very sturdy, all legal connections and common parts and so could actually be made by them, but then remembered I'd used the Technic drive ring as engines... I'm sure they can be substituted!

As an aside, I have a few more builds coming in this colour scheme...

A space taxi I built as a MOC around the time Space Police came out. Delayed as it was too similar to the Space Police sets. Then I forgot about it!

Started a new group too - Space Taxis. Feel free to build one - or a Space Limo or whatever!

If you think the 10213 Shuttle Adventure set is good, this one will blow you away! If I'm not wrong, this is the world's biggest Lego Space Shuttle.

Just a little Blacktron Themed tank I put together. It measures 104 studs long and 48 studs wide and features a rotating turret and articulating corner treads.

The build took me about 2 months to complete and can be seen at Brickworld Chicago and Brickfair DC this year.

The design was loosely based on a Deviant Art design by Duskie-06.

What's Florida without a visit to the Kennedy Space Center? Ah, to dream... Barring the Russian Soyuz and Mars One programs, it was really the closest and only way I could get into low Earth orbit! (+ permission from my wife!)

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) logo was approved by President Eisenhower in 1959, and slightly modified by John F. Kennedy in 1961. Kennedy's portrait seen here engraved in the granite in the background left.

Just having some fun with this picture. Is it "Space Needle" from Seattle, or some kind of space ship (UFO)???

The Creator Space 3 in 1 sets were incredible, especially the Rover Explorer.
