Thru 9 B/W images I try to convey brotherhood, a sense of shared sorrow moving to hope.

this is not the best shot i've taken today, because the best was deleted while i was watching the previews on the display -.-" i'm a genius, i know.

Hope to upload soon the other photos (mainly the "52weeks" one).

PLESNA IMPROVIZACIJA: TUGA

Plesačica: Esta Matković

Performeri, plesači, glazbenici, filozofi, teoretičari i svi ljubitelji teatra i plesa,

pozivamo Vas, da ne kažemo izazivamo, da dođete, svratite, razgibate se i upotrijebite svoje moždane vijuge!!

Seciranje improvizacije, traženje puta u mišljenju, kontrolirana koincidencija mogu svjesnim odlukama odrediti trenutni akt u improvizaciji.

" I lay awake,

in the garden at midnight,

wondering whether you love me"

The bluff on the northern edge of Kauai, around sunset. At the end of this fabulous trip, one of the best we've had, we were overcome by sorrow as we drove down the road to the airport. As the drive continued, logic and hope overtook the sorrow, and we were comforted by the thought of future trips. Now I wonder if future trips will ever happen. The islands are still locking out visitors from their own country (except for the very rich, who can comfortably self-isolate in their mansions for the mandated 14-day period.) Visitors from OTHER countries, deemed to be less risky, will be allowed soon. It's a desperate and futile attempt to eliminate health risk for their population.

Experiencing monumental cemeteries...

Poetically placed raindrops on the Peter Pan Statue in Bowring Park, Newfoundland.

Located in Bowring Park, St. John's, Newfoundland, this Peter Pan statue is one of seven identical made from a mold by sculptor George Frampton. For more info, try the Wikipedia site on Peter Pan

The other statues are located in Kensington Gardens in London, in Liverpool, in Brussels, in Camden, New Jersey, in Perth, and in Toronto.

This was painted from a photograph I took

Sweet and Sorrow were inspired by William Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo + Juliet’. At one point in the play Juliet says goodbye to Romeo with the famous quote: ‘Parting is such sweet sorrow.’ This oxymoron combines contradictory ideas of pleasure + pain. Saying goodbye to Romeo triggers deep sadness in Juliet, but that sadness also reminds her of her love for him, and for this reason it is sweet. These emotions are symbolized by the heart shields on their chest. I wanted to give an impression that they were both wearing armor, and that their feelings of sorrow come from the true identity behind the mask.

He's haunted by the memory of a lost paradise

In his youth or a dream, he can't be precise

He's chained forever to a world that 's departed

It's not enough, it's not enough

His blood has frozen & curdled with fright

His knees have trembled & given way in the night

His hand has weakened at the moment of truth

His step has faltered

One world, one soul

Time pass, the river roll

"Heaven's rain falls upon

Faces of the children who look skyward.

Twisting metal through the air,

Scars and screams

So you might know his fury.

See shells whistle,

Let your mind drift away.

See shells whistle,

Let yourself hide away."

Wish I had uploaded this one for Pets Eye View for Photo 5. It came to me after I had already uploaded that this was like an image from the story of the dog whose master died and the dog waited for years at his graveside. I thought of the dog sitting waiting for his master to come to this lonely bench so they could go for a walk.
