The last in the series of abstract water images. I have many more, but I won't show them all here.
The most important thing for me is that I had fun shooting them, regardless of whether or not they do well on social media.
The other thing is that I don't want to be a one trick pony and just shoot grand landscapes.
Happy Bokeh Wednesday

Chimney sweeps on their rounds are a common sight in Vienna, even in the 21st century! All chimneys must be swept at least once a year and inspections are made quarterly. You can expect to be visited by your local sweeps around Christmas and New Year. They bring a calender and are hoping for a good tip - it's supposed to bring you luck! They are said to enjoy their work - up on the roofs every morning they see many a pretty sunrise! These days women are also taking up the trade.
Do zoom in on the sweeps for a closer view - you get to see their equipment!
Happy Sliders Sunday!
Early morning mist clearing from Sron a’ Chlachain.
Sron a’ Chlachain sits on the West side of Killin. The short but steep ascent offers great views.

The human footprint in form of a hand print. Not a big deal, I guess, but I found it symbolic and was a little disturbed by it.
It's a big hand, so it is certainly not child's play.
Those thoughts aside, I was attracted to the gold that the sun tried to lay down on the water. The heavily wooded creek side broke up the sun rays, creating a patchwork of golden highlights.
Soon it ducked behind a hill, throwing the entire valley into shadow. Then it was time to go home.
Next time I will be there earlier.

A quick trip to the Abiquiu area, about 50 miles north of Santa Fe, yielded this photo and one of a rainbow which I will post later. Recent rains have brought much needed moisture to the grass lands, but it might be too late for the grasses visible here. They must be grasses that grow in spring and by late summer have turned dry and yellow already.
Regardless, it makes for nice colors under the right sunlight.

Okochi Sanso is the former home and garden of actor Denjiro Okochi. The house and other buildings and the gardens were built up over a period of 30 years, and were opened to the public after Okochi's death in 1962.

Mini break to Rileyville, Virginia with the beasts. Teddy and Echo are enjoying romping about in a nice big field, but we need to be mindful for deer (which we’ve seen) and bears (which we haven’t). They have pretty decent recall but some temptations are just too great.
Today I should have been staying with a couple of friends just outside Duisburg but unfortunately there was a COVID infection, so a bit of rearranging took place and now I'm in Bremen! Spotted this chap carrying a dog toy that looked on first glance like his folks' umbrella, bless him.

Today, a year ago, we were present at a party, to see the demolition of this building. It was the start for us to our new build appartment Blooming: blooming-oosterhout.nl/
Unfortunately my husband died at the end of last year, but I decided to go forward with this project if possible, because his oldest brother and sister in law also had bougt an appartment there.
Only recently, in May this year, the new build has started! It will take some time until it's ready, planned completion is at the end of 2026. In the mean time I just sold our house and in Octobre I will be moving to a temporarary sort of tiny house at a campsite.
