Shady path through Brookside gardens provides a nice escape from the summer sun and a contrast to their more formal plantings.

Fraser's Bridge as it spans Clunie Water and connects the a93 and the Old Military Road.

Cairngorms National Park.

Taken at the winter's end on a late afternoon walk in the grounds of the Imperial Summer Palace, Vienna.

First leaves on an ornamental cherry tree. The bloom was coming to an end very quickly and I was able to catch the transition from its very exuberant to its leafy state.

Trying out my Dukane projector lens.

Taken whilst out with my brother-in-law, Geoff Stephens. We were both out with our Sigma 70-200 f2.8 with EF mounts. Mine was fitted to my Sony a7c, using a Metabone adapter.

Taken handheld at 12800 ISO.

This is a large crop because I could not come closer. The little bird almost did not move though, perhaps it was the cold.

Processed in my digital darkroom, Silkypix Developer Studio Pro 9, using tools for exposure adjustment, contrast, colour fine-tuning and shading only. No tricks! No Photoshop!

(A note on the title - it's in memory of my piano teacher. He used to chain-smoke during the lessons - Gaulloises "disque bleu" and Gitanes filterless. Unthinkable today!)

Sonnenaufgang in Mülheim Ruhr - Part 1

Shot during a photo walk on the Santa Fe downtown plaza.

I don't know those two, but I hope the little girl will retain some memory of the peaceful moments she had with her grandmother.

I hardly ever do street photography, but that day I really enjoyed it.
