We've noticed quite a few juvenile birds visiting our yard lately. Caught this young Blue Jay checking out the different Goodie Bowls, but when it came across the pile of treats poured on one of our steppingstones it seemed puzzled. As if wondering if those treats were good to eat, too?
Hoof had been through his birthday diary recently when he noticed Fiona’s birthday on the 26th June 2020. Fiona as you will all remember is the ‘Beautiful Demoiselle’ Damselfly that I photographed www.flickr.com/photos/137633664@N05/48205951797/ during her birthday celebrations at a local river last year.🎁
Horace FaceTimed Fiona as he knows she is a very busy lady especially in the summer months (ding dong💕) he asked if we could make an appointment to meet up, pass on a birthday card and of course deliver one of Mrs P’s home made birthday cakes for Fiona and her friends.🎂💃
As Fiona’s diary was rather full she asked if we minded meeting her the day before say on the 25th June, well this suited us all fine, we are very adapt at attending parties even if there isn’t one.🎉🎊
This year it was agreed we meet very close to the same fern as last year, then there would be no mix up in locating her, as she does have rather a lot of admirers. ☘️☘️🌱🍀🌿
A very special morning was spent by the riverbank exchanging pleasantries, Fiona said as we left, “same time, same place, this time next year”.
Fiona had some very nice play mates who were blue in colour, however they did not want to have their photos taken, we will be back, little do they know. 🔵 🐜🍷🍷🍷💃😎🐎🐷
I will leave you with this thought🤔
Two elephants standing by a pool wanted a swim, yet they only had one pair of trunks between them.🐘🐘
Thank you very much for looking at my photographs, the comments and banter you leave are so appreciated

Yep! Experimenting with my shadow again. Took these on Canada Day in blazing hot sunshine, just before sundown.

Enjoy your day! It is sure nice to see you again.

Definitely out of the norm of my typical captures :)
A little bokeh and some light. A artsy departure from the standard flower images but fun to take and a challenge to capture. The images taken with the lens physically detached and focused with the eye piece. Something of a throw back to manual photography in a digital age.
I decided that I had a bit of free time this afternoon to learn how to do a few things in photoshop. I had fun playing with textures and borders...I hope you like the end result as much as I do!
Many thanks to Skeletal Mess and Pareeerica for the textures.

Inspired by the absolutely amazing Jeanne; I thought I would try my hand with infared photography; now mine was done through Photoshop, unlike hers, so it's lacking a bit of that authentic flare, but still it was a lot of fun to play around with this style.
I'm going to have to experiment a lot more with this style in the future, the way my inspiration goes about this is absolutely stunning and amazes me.
Anyway, hope everyone has had a good Monday.

After really enjoying producing A Flash Of Inspiration I decided to try it with a different object.
So i grabbed an empty Coffee jar (one of many jars I have emptied since stopping work). BUT, i couldnt get the refraction i needed to highlight the jar due to its size. SO, i filled it with water......then swirled it around to form a whirlpool.........now i know what your thinking, water+camrea+flash+working in the dark= Disaster.....
But I quite like the Result.
Something completely different than my usual stuff... thought it might be fun to make Ollie the Twitterrific Bird icon by the Iconfactory. Also because my little girl thought it was a cute thing to have...
