Ocean wind turbine by Lawson Jones

A variation of the solo tree landscape, I took this one turbine in isolation amongst the wind farm off the North wales coast. The Gwyny-Y-Mor wind farm is about 8 mile off the coast. I took the shot at sunset using my Sony DSC-HX400V with a Polariser lens on Max setting and hand held resting on a lighting pillar for support.

This was the last of three paintings that I got done last night. I hate to say I tried really hard to get the picture look nicer but it still do this painting justice. There is way more richness and luminosity in the actual painting. It is done in oils and is 12x16 on a canvas panel. The color pallet is almost surreal.
