Solid State 19
Radio found at Belleville, IL's finest antique mall. They also had hundreds upon hundreds of 8x10 black & white prints of buildings in Chicago, apparently taken over fifty years ago. Interiors, exteriors, fire escapes, back alleys...they looked like tax-assessment photos, in my totally untrained opinion. If anyone's interested in browsing or buying, I think Kirkbride Palace knows the name of the store.

This minimalist, folded tread staircase has been treated to an unusual “Driftwood Sioo” white oil finish. The solid oak stair has been attached to the reclaimed brick stairwell with hidden steel pins.
The very open style wrought iron balustrade was cut and welded from yard stock; the joints carefully cleaned up and only the loose mill scale removed.
The metal balustrade has been chemically sealed and simply bolted to the structure to give an industrial salvaged feel.
As for the aesthetics, the sheer simplicity of the ribbon-like structure, in conjunction with the raw, reclaimed brick wall, make this staircase appear light, airy and practically weightless.
Here it is my Mod of Emerald Night in order to grab power from 9V tracks:
1 – Modified tender ( pics tender 1 to tender 8). Very important are the two black round plates as you can see on pic tender 1. They stabilize the boogie when running reverse.
2 – Old 9V motor, modified to grab the power from 9V tracks (pics 9V motor1 to 9V motor6):
Use a sharp and solid knife to cut COMPLETELY the 12 anchorage point of the lid. Don´t try to get some space or force the lid without cutting all the points. Remove the lid by pulling each side of the it alternately. This allow all the pieces inside to stay in place so that you can understand where they belong. Then remove the electric motor.
BEFORE CLOSING ALL TOGETHER, ALIGN THE LID.
Now use a PowerFunctions cable 8886 to connect the empty 9V motor to the XL motor of Emerald.
And that’s it…Emerald Night is now a grownup Train
Good ol' Snake here has always been a fan favorite. With a combination of spammy-broken tilts, disjointed hitboxes in nearly all his attacks, super disportional weight (heck he weighs more than DEDEDE), and alot of camping with stuff that goes....BOOM.
I tried my best to capture all the little details that Snake likes to hide... Like his holster for example, or those weird white, dot thingys on his elbows.... I dunno.
I like him, he looks especially good compared to my old one.
Well partner here are your fabric choices. The bottom 2 are Kona Coal and Ash Gray. I originally thought the orange and ochre would be a good contrast against the blues for you partner, but ordered the Pomegranate in Option B on a whim and think it works really well. Its coming off a bit red in the photo (taken indoors) but is more of a hot / cerise pink than red.
So tell me, which do you prefer?
This is the latest act to visit the Disability centre, they are a duo that call themselves Solid Gold. Treated us to a great selection of music.
Photography was difficult due to the low light.
Having not used my alloted time up, I negotiated a trip home via the 'scenic route' instead of I70, which I figured would put me in contention for a grainer with solid BNSF power at West Newton. 10 mins after arrival it was duly nailed, and off we went after Ian confirmed the N688 was still in Mckeesport. And we still made it home in time for the next domestic activity!
For 3x6 bee, Solids hive.
My colors.
I LOVE the one on the right, but I'm struggling with it being too big. Gonna try again and see if I can get it so the points don't get cut off in a 12" finished block.
And I know Ohio stars are really simple (especially in solids), but I'm kind of infatuated with them right now.
By me XD, but based on this image by Kamiya
