Yoshiki Takaya Kadokawa Edition limited production pre painted and fixed pose vinyl figure. Originally came with the comic book as a set but I only bought the figure. Original sculpted by Max Watanabe in 2003. 1/6 scale and 12.7 inches tall.
He just has this don't fuck with me look that I love. Need a cape. I forget who the manufacturer is....Takatoku? Someone help me out.
Last year, my friend gave me this KO bootleg Mazinger Z – slightly under 19 inches tall! – found from his storage. The paint job and overall finish is no way near as good as the original but the height and volume of it is still impressive. It is quite heavy too. I see there are repair marks here and there, perhaps when it was produced though.
Most of my sofubi Mazinger Z figures handy to summon are gathered together for this shot. So far the tallest sofubi Mazinger Z in my collection has been the Marmit 1997 version I bought in Tokyo back in 2015 – approx. 15 inches tall but now this KO is the tallest. Anyway, they look great together!

On 27th Jan 2023, Auckland was hit by one of the very heavy rain in the history of New Zealand. My house was flooded on the ground floor and damaged quite few of my precious toy collection. Watching the water pouring into the house with desperate act of lower the water level was quite in vain. I am still working on the restore many damaged items but it will take a long while. Hope this was the last one for now... Among them is the Super Premium Godzilla Sofubi figure by Bandai in 1994. During the chaos the left eye gone missing and it became an adventure finding it!
