Current favorite shelf of Kaiju goodness.

Again, as written on the box art – TEDEROS In the future of the 20th century, mankind has been civilized and living a rich life. But since the fall of gigantic meteorites, a cataclysm has been started that has included the appearance of monsters and invasions by aliens from other planets. Mankind is now facing things never experienced before. The forces of the Earth’s united nations have been attempting to organize a new squadron, beyond the Army, Navy and Air Force, to protect against these alien attacks from other planets and to prepare for the development of space. This new squadron, made up of specialized robots, is named Terrestrial Defence Robot Squadron, “TEDEROS”.

Well, it is already 21st century now but can you just relax and ignore what’s going on around us now??

This one is TEDEROS-05 First Aid Robot by Marusan. 6 inches tall and it is marked as 1/150 scale and the pilot Erika Willinger figure is inside the clear dome. Nice reminder of Gang of Five style skirted robot design was used for this one and it suits well.

Gave this guy a killer gloss treatment and tidy up.

Reproduction of vintage Tiger Mask soft vinyl figure by Nakajima Seisakusho in 1969 by Medicom Toy. About 9 inches tall. This one comes with double package, inner, the reproduction of original card and colouring book then outer, Medicom package. If one is cheeky one can remove the outer package and claim it as original? I don’t think anyone would be naïve enough to be deceived though! Ha Ha!! ; )

Character: Gigan

Made In: Japan

Material: Flesh Color Vinyl

Height: Approximately 20 cm

Number of Parts: 6

Released: 1972

Original Price: 350 yen

Additional Info: Bullmark introduces its first standard size Gigan figure in 1972. The Gigan figure in the picture is one of the original color variations that was released by Bullmark in 1972. There are a few color variations that exist like a darker blue color on flesh vinyl. And also the Hawaii color version that was released in 1973.

Gigan made its first appearance in the Japanese movie Godzilla vs Gigan on March 12, 1972.

Ishida Kōtarō, Shibata Yutaka, and Saburo Ishizuki founded Bullmark on April 4, 1969. Bullmark had their sofubi toys manufactured by the company Shimada Toy. Some of the early Bullmark kaiju sofubi releases when they began in 1969 carry the Shimada Toy logo of a baby chicken. Beginning in 1970 is when the Bullmark logo design started. Bullmark closed its doors in 1977.

Bullmark came out of retirement in 2008. New Bullmark continues its relationship with Shimada Toy by having them produce their sofubi toys and with the help of sales going through M1号. In 2009, New Bullmark established its own official website and took over sales directly.
