The figure shown in the photo was hand-painted by Chris Reed and was label as carnival color version. This edition features a vibrant, festive color palette inspired by the bright, playful colors commonly associated with carnivals and fairs. The carnival color version is a special colorway variant of the standard release. The carnival colors painted by Chris are not all painted the exact same way as the one in the picture. There are some slight color variations that look simular or completely different.
On the front of the figure is the Japanese text ドンコング (romanized as Don Kongu. The word "Don" (ドン) is a Japanese onomatopoeia that represents the sound of a loud impact or "bang."
This figure is designed as a soft vinyl coin bank. Although it includes a coin slot on the back, the slot is left uncut from the factory. To use it as a functional bank, the owner must carefully cut the slot open. A removable plug on the bottom allows coins to be retrieved once they have been inserted.
The only text molded into the vinyl is the Japanese ドンコング (Don Kongu). A sticker affixed to the bottom identifies the makers of the figure.

Again, as written on the box art – TEDEROS In the future of the 20th century, mankind has been civilized and living a rich life. But since the fall of gigantic meteorites, a cataclysm has been started that has included the appearance of monsters and invasions by aliens from other planets. Mankind is now facing things never experienced before. The forces of the Earth’s united nations have been attempting to organize a new squadron, beyond the Army, Navy and Air Force, to protect against these alien attacks from other planets and to prepare for the development of space. This new squadron, made up of specialized robots, is named Terrestrial Defence Robot Squadron, “TEDEROS”.
Well, it is already 21st century now but can you just relax and ignore what’s going on around us now??
This one is TEDEROS-04 Underwater Robot by Marusan. 6 inches long and it is marked as 1/150 scale and the pilot Lisa Veronica figure is inside the clear dome. Also like the TEDEROS 02, with or without intention of the creator it resembles the Thunderbird 4.
Better group shot of these with the super-mac on and shaky-cam off. One odd thing about these (aside from the size, I've never seen sofubi this small before) is that each one has a "belly button" that must be some artifact of the molding process.
Incidentally, we have no idea of who made these, so if anyone has any info, please post it in the comments.
I wonder if my adventures in Dollar Store Paleontology and my little ankylosaur avatar are establishing me as "the plastic dinosaur guy" in the minds of my friends. I'll gladly accept this mantle, and if Mark's starting a trend, feel free to send me your tired, your poor, your huddled saurian masses.
Thank you, Mark. You are truly a god among men.
a pose for every occasion, and for every occasion a pose.

My TEDEROS team did not have the monster to fight for so virtually out of job but finally Zimella (also known as Jimera) the Daikaiju has arrived for their relief! I don’t think they will destroy him in a hurry.
