Simple soft vinyl figures by Kaiyodo released in 2018, Getter 1 original and evil colour versions. 8 inches tall. Not bad for mass production.
Vintage sofubi from a couple of my favorite subjects: DORVACK and THE TIME OF THE APES/SARU NO GUNDAN.
TIME OF THE APES is very esoteric, but there were a little over a dozen various vinyl figures for the show made by BULLMARK in 3 different scales, all of ape characters and the robot character. These are the mid-sized figures. Minister Bipu drives me nuts, because his outfit should be white, not black. I swear I'm going to repaint it someday!
The DORVACK Calibur has some nice detail, but could use some more paint.

I felt on top of this world when I got this guy. He was a tough one to get and my favorite Snowshoe colorway. :)
via Instagram ift.tt/1Omdykf I bought this #Ultraman #kaiju not based on my knowledge of the character, but because of his odd techno looking nature. Very #tron vibe. #actionfigures #ToyGameTedDibase #toyhorder #toyhunting #toyhustle #toyfinds #vinyl #Japanese #sofubi #seijin #RagingNerdgasm #TomKhayos #ToyGameScroogeMcDuck ift.tt/1Omdykf

Last year, my friend gave me this KO bootleg Mazinger Z – slightly under 19 inches tall! – found from his storage. The paint job and overall finish is no way near as good as the original but the height and volume of it is still impressive. It is quite heavy too. I see there are repair marks here and there, perhaps when it was produced though.
Most of my sofubi Mazinger Z figures handy to summon are gathered together for this shot. So far the tallest sofubi Mazinger Z in my collection has been the Marmit 1997 version I bought in Tokyo back in 2015 – approx. 15 inches tall but now this KO is the tallest. Anyway, they look great together!

Well here he is. Chemicals in the clear mask discolored one arm after being locked in a bag for 30 years. I don't mind, gives him some character. The clear mask is a very nice concept for the time I think. It's very commonplace to have features like clear vinyl and glow these days in newer toys, but I like to think a lot of thought might have been put into this in the 70's. For a bootleg toy it's pretty incredible since they were mostly knock offs of Bullmark, Marusan, Bandai, Popy etc...
