I think the kitchen ought to stop offering the toast.

"Roti" is one of Singapore's signature breakfast and if the kitchen continues to offer these limpy toasts, it is going to hurt the gastronomical image of my country.

No amount of kaya or very liberal slices of butter (and because the toasts are cold, the butter had not melted) can save this abominable spectacle.
