I went to the shop that I like to go to, that sells wrapping paper.
They had a bargain bucket selling sheets of paper torn at the edges for 10 pence.
(although next time I use one, I might iron it)
The sock monkey was made especially for me by a workmate.
After yesterdays 'purple' pic - I stuck an orange gel over the flash. Hence the 'suntan'. Next time I'll try the half orange I think.
we're enjoying the last cold winter days around here with some hot cocoa.
can you believe it's the first time I tried it with mini marshmallows?.
Sock monkey takes another step toward the bottom... Selling himself to Japanese businessmen.

This is Gustav. I got chocolate on his leg even before the ears were attached. But he is so cute, keeps smiling...
i've crochet different things lately, without pattern as usual, just for fun and to learn. These little friends and some old bits and pieces from my sewing suitcase i turned into a pram mobile
Another sock monkey. This one was made for the daughter of a friend who gave it to her boyfriend as a birthday gift.
My second monkey made out of Jo Ratcliffe's old socks!
His ears are made out of the finger tips of an old suedette
and plastic glove, and his tail is made out of the longest finger
and body of an old knitted glove.
He's called Google because of his double-button googley eyes,
and his similar colour combination to the Google logo.
I seem to come up with my best ideas right around 1am (out of sheer boredom I think), like his and her sock monkey buttons. Life just wouldn't be complete without a monkey button with a flower in her ear/hair :)
I didn't want to put him up too early in case i spoiled the surprise. This little fellow is for La Boite à Monstres. Hope he makes it ok through the Christmas post!
My latest Sock Monkey (or stocking gibbon I suppose). Commissioned for a baby that's due any day now...
I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas! My family did. :) This hat was one of my favorite gifts.
Santa brought my sister a 50mm f 1.8 lens and it is amazing. She let me borrow it for this shot. It really makes us despise our kit lenses. :) I am already placing my order to buy one for myself.
Have a fantastic day!
My sock monkeys are leaving me to go to market! They'll be sold at Shorties in Newtown, Sydney. The orange one is called "Gene Kelly" and the rainbow one is "Melanie" (after 60s groover, Melanie Safka).

Been going through a lot recently, and well, Zombie Monkey speaks for me sometimes. Just sayin. At least I don't let monkey drink shitty booze. Scotch or bust.
