From Ertl in 1991, these were action figures with interchangeable parts.
The figures were sold in these assortments, not as singles. This was to emphasize the interchanging play value.
The package trays were also vacuformed to the specific figures so the assortments were not random. Once you had all the assortments, you had the complete set and the ability to make "Over 15 Quadrillion Combinations!"

Since 1927, Craftsman tools, sold by Sears, have been a brand trusted by American consumers. I got this socket set as a Christmas gift a few years ago, I believe. I don't use it a lot, but it's nice to have when needed.

50/50: Day 5
Posted kinda late but here is my day 5 shot. I didn't really know what to shoot today ... It's Saturday so I was just veggin' ... but I seen these sockets in the garage and thought that I could arrange them in a way that would look cool ... In a way they sort of remind me of bubbles. Maybe I should of titled this post Urban Bubbles or something ... lol ... oh welllz

One Light: Canon 430EX II @ 1/4 w/ shoot thru umbrella above on ghetto boom. Triggered w/ CTR-301P
The lighting (or lack thereof) made for some somewhat blurry product photos, and this one of some Craftsman socket wrench sets is no exception. I still can't get over the novelty of going to produce to buy a head of lettuce, then heading just a handful of aisles over to purchase some Craftsman tools!

In June 2016 I had the privilege, as a participant in an event arranged by The Twentieth Century Society, of visiting the restoration works at the University of Leicester's Engineering Building (1959-63, James Stirling & James Gowan). The distinctive polygonal glass roof that covers the workshops and laboratories of the grade II* listed structure had been shrouded in an immense plastic canopy so that every individual glazing pane could be painstakingly replaced. As you can see, in order for us to go under that plastic canopy and observe the work in progress at close hand we first had to don high-visibility jackets and hard hats. Sunday 19th June 2016.

it's been a looong time since i've uploaded anything, or taken pictures. my laptop kicked the bucket but this is my first photo edited using my macbook! it's so much easier on a mac it's ridiculous.
i never usually explain a meaning behind my photos, but this one's a little different. i wanted to try and convey a feeling you get sometimes, of emptiness or emotionless. it's something that you don't see, or overlook in a person. but every now and then it takes its toll, mentally and physically.
If you're routinely using sockets this big, you're doing some serious work for sure!
