"Addison" an 8 year old cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) and one of her six cubs born on November 21, 2015. This is the largest litter ever delivered at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park's Cheetah Breeding Center. Four cubs are female and two are male.

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is one of nine facilities in the Cheetah Breeding Center coalition. There are only 10,000 cheetahs left (with 10% in captive programs). Conservation Status: Vulnerable

Two Mistle Thrush chicks snuggling in a nest containing at least 4 of these individuals, just after being fed with a juicy stack of big fat worms.

This was today and not so far away. I was very respectful of their space and left the site very shortly after taking this shot (although there may be more Mistle Thrush shots to come as these were one of the things I was trying for when I got the acrobatic Squirrel of the last posting). I'm enjoying my walks with Canon.

I spotted these fun guys snuggling up to keep warm on a cold day.

Someone knows how to stay warm, just push your way in.

Snuggles got a nice make over. It has a lot of great (old and new) spots to take your awesome pics at.

We also have some new cuddle spots and the romantic dance up in the clouds.

New is also the tattoo shop with some great poses in it. 😜

A time out and all come together for family bonding

Just returned from a trip to Churchill, Manitoba. We waited 6 days in the cold and windy weather for the mother and her cubs to leave the den. We were rewarded with a beautiful sunny day to photography them.

Snuggles by the fire on a cold, winter's night!

Chance stopped in for the night to stay with me in my cabin at Turtle Mountain. A warm duvet and a hot Chance make for a rather cozy and safe place for the night that makes the snow storm outside seem miles away :-)
