Day 122/366: Mint, growing in a nearby restaurant's small kitchen garden. A heavily-cropped iPhone image, processing using Lightroom.

Although the picture doesn't show its problems, this quilt has seen better days. I'm removing the wonderful piece of pink vintage fabric from the back to use for a different project. The top will get repaired and then quilted to a new muslin backing.

I cut my hair! ^__^

I know my haircuts are of interest to pretty much no one but myself, but whatever... I like seeing change over time. This time, I added lots of layers and cut off the "bob" that was forming. The goal was to have a really kick-ass cut that would grow out nicely over the next four months or so without resulting in a mullet of some sort or requiring another trim. Who can afford to get haircuts every month in San Francisco? This city practically forces you to go a tad shorter than you really want, unless you're rolling in it (which, I guess, lots of people are). Part of the Hair Grow Out Chronicles Set.

Hot, fried crispy and chewy dough with an internal pocket of syrupy sweet brown sugar with a hint of cinnamon and filled with toasted nuts. Got you feeling hungry? Well, this is Hotteuk, a Korean sweet rice pancake treat that is a popular street food. This stand in Gamcheon Cultural Village had a busy lineup. Here, one of the stand's workers applies the finishing touches before handing it off to a waiting customer.

Although I would stop short of calling this German a sniper , as he lacks a scope and probably did not receive special sniper training,he illustrates the ceaseless danger of trench warfare. He awaits the moment an Allied soldier shows himself and then he pulls the trigger. There was a steady stream of casualties in trench warfare even without assaults and heavy artillery fire.

Organised by Hertfordshire Rail Tours, 1993's The ‘Par Snip’ railtour ran from London Paddington to many west country freight line destinations such as Heathfield, Carne Point and Burngullow, providing passengers a very rare opportunity to travel tracks that usually only ever got to handle china clay traffic.

The tour is pictured here at Newton Abbot, with rail freight distribution liveried 37670 'St. Blazey T&RS Dept' about to start the Newton Abbot – Heathfield part of the tour. 47833 had brought the train down from London as is positioned on the rear.

I had to take many shots to get this just right as there was a good breeze. Very similar to another shot taken earlier. When we click the moon at dusk or dawn with a little light and can get a bit of the surroundings the feel is much better than just capturing the moon against a black background. Tweaked to reduce noise and enhance colours.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Kind of an odd sight at an abandoned summer theater outside Albany.

My guess is somebody was stealing wiring and threw this outlet aside in the process.

During a big snowstorm, an inch or so of snow blew in under the roof, creating this delicate blanket around the old outlet and leaving it almost exactly the same depth as if it were still in the wall.

Polaroid I took of my husband holding scissors. I then stitched a border around it on with my sewing machine. The photograph is stitched directly to a piece of mat board, so the whole thing will soon be framed. To see the Polaroid before it was sewn, go here.

Thanks for looking!
