The grey Humber is a six-cylinder Super Snipe Series III or IV, identifiable by its quad headlights and full-width grille. It is finished in Steel Grey, actually a Rover colour but typical of the metallic shades offered by Humber.

Helen and I went to Ingles Farm in Radford this weekend. This is the place where Mary Draper Ingles lived after her dramatic escape from Shawnee Indians in 1755. Its a working farm and on the day we visited they were shearing sheep.

it had to be done

Having recently been prompted by dreams to remember how to make man + woman paper chains and then also having my dreams bring my attention to Kate and Will's wedding - I've now produced a specially themed King & Queen or Prince & Princess version in Union Jack wrapping paper...

my first memories of snipper are seeing his big semi-truck parked on the side street.

Not perfectly focused, but who cares? I like the cross of the shears and the legs.

Another weekend, another trip to the home improvement center, another tool for the box.

This thing was sealed so tightly in the plastic package I broke a pair of scissors trying to open it. The obvious irony is that I needed the "Guaranteed Forever" All Purpose Cutter to open the plastic in which the All Purpose Cutter is packaged.

i carefully gathered up every fragile strain of hair held them close to my heart this what i had left the sum of 12 years gone in a flash.
