Noticing turbulence in a pond in Wheaton, Maryland...I saw two large Snapping Turtles mating. Keeping my photostream family friendly--I decided just to post them after the deed was done--two smiling lovers.

Red Snapper stuffed with brie and crab with a pesto sauce, from McCormick & Schmicks. It was delicious.
Our son was out for a couple of hours morning fishing in kayaks with Roger & he pulled in these two huge Snappers!!! Seven Snappers & one kawhai in total!!

A Common Snapping Turtle, having just emerged from hibernation, found its way to a local restaurant. The turtle caused a commotion and plenty of 'turtle soup' comments, before being taken to a nearby pond.
To get a photo with his head out of his shell, I spent a while lying really still next to him until he decided I was okay and could get on with his turtle business.
