I prefer my sister's alternative suggestion "A Snuggle of Snails" as a far more descriptive collective noun :-)
Wer langsam geht kommt auch ans Ziel!

Muito obrigado pelos seus comentários e favoritos.
Many thanks for your coments and favs.
Frozen bubble, snail shell, tip of a submerged colorful log and submerged leaves under the ice. Looking straight down from a wall. Things like this catch my eye and only last a short time.
Sorry for so many photos at one time, just saving some memories since haven't been out much. No need to comment, please. :)
In addition to the usual domestic and exotic exhibits of a nature museum, such as minerals, fossils, prepared birds and mammals, insects, crustaceans, corals etc., the House of Nature - Cismar represents a special area: the snails and shells (mollusks). The collection of snail- and mussel- shells is particularly rich in unusual pieces and, with more than 5000 species on display, Germany's largest shell exhibition. It offers a clear insight into the almost immeasurable diversity of this second largest phylum with shells of sand grain size up to one meter in length in all colors and shapes. Many snail shells and mussel shells in the Haus der Natur - Cismar are real rarities and sometimes unique in Europe.
Hello everybody and a Happy Macro Monday. On this picture you see a slug i found today at a tree in our park. On the snail shell you can see that structure of this nature formed body. I hope you enjoy that Colors and that changes in light and shadow.
Have no idea if this is correct for the theme, other than shells seem to be popular in the group pool.
I did do a Google search, but was none the wiser!!
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.
Taken at the expressway park a few blocks from our house. The water in the pond where I usually see lots of birds was so low on one end, and there were all these HUGE snail shells stuck in the mud. I walked out on the spongy terrain which was covered in the footprints of all kinds of birds. I picked up the prettiest snail shell I could find, shook the sand and dirt out and propped it on this cypress knee with the intention of getting a good shot of the snail shell. However, the overall shot made me laugh when I got it out of the can, so I'm posting it first! Looks like an alien eye periscoping out of the greenery to me! LOL! Thanks for viewing!

for Texture Tuesday - The White edition... again I have to relay mostly on nature for my props here :)
On the left and right side of the entrance area of the abbey church of Melk is attached a circular staircase like this, which connect the church with the abbey sections. So one can reach for example the church from the library without the need to go outside. To me appeared the staircase like a artful decorated snail shell.
Because of the long dry period in nature snails have a hard time. These two snails did not manage to survive and there shells fell into disrepair.
Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.
