15th February 2017:

Another lovely morning and I was out as soon as I could. Went for a very pleasant walk without needing to wrap up in woolly hat and gloves, which is so much better.

I found this snail on a branch of a hedge and noticed that it was "blowing bubbles," so picked it up and took some photos of it upside down.

It was fascinating as the bubbles were changing every few seconds. In this photo the snail had "blown" some bigger bubbles at the top.

Well there's not much else you can do during lockdown in winter....

During a walk, I picked up a snail shell nearly five centimeters long. Although it was weathered by sun and rain, it immediately caught my eye. At home, I cleaned it and brought it back to life with a light coat of marble wax.
