A "Happy Smile on Saturday" 😊
and a relaxed weekend.
Stay safe / Bleibt gesund.
Thank you for all your views, faves and comments.
the theme for this weeks macro Mondays group...................a tiny five pence and a tiny snail shell which I found in my cold frame after finding out what the theme for this week was!
Somehow August has escaped into the wild, and this is being uploaded as September arrives ;o)
The month has gone haywire with the weather, matching small heatwaves with some winter temperatures - and a few weeks of drought with following floods. And that chaotic theme has been reflected in my own August .. planning things only to have them fall apart, both holiday plans and photographic plans. Oddly, amid the chaos I managed to post some 27+ shots - giving me a challenge to squeeze them all into the collage format I use ;o)
Thanks to everyone who has visited my photostream and for the comments and faves. I hope the collage gives a pleasing way to look back at August, as well as its more mundane function of acting as a kind of book-end to divide up my photostream ;o)

The snailshells look amazingly antique - just like little ammonites!

Yesterday I tried to post a photo of this figurine but Flickr viewed it as inappropriate, so here I am again hoping this time it will work. I've taken it from another angle that doesn't show the figurine's body. It's of Lady Justice and I don't think most of the Lawyers in this country would consider this figurine to be lude. The photo below is the one that was deemed restricted. Personally I think she's lovely!
that I have found in our garden over the past few years.
Seems to be a cosy place for snails here.🐌

Have a nice Friday and a good start into the weekend. 🌸
Many, many thanks for all your views, faves and comments.
This weeks challenge was "shoot something, anything while looking down your nose at it . . . in other words, it's about perspective. Pick a subject then rise above it for your shot"

I prefer my sister's alternative suggestion "A Snuggle of Snails" as a far more descriptive collective noun :-)
A red-breasted merganser mother (Mergus serrator) and her adorable chicks, who stayed in our neighbourhood for a long time last summer.
It's nice to go through warming summer photos, on a cold and windy winter day like today.

Each of my photos gives a glimpse of my world. But sometimes I am tired of the outer world and retire to my castle
Small Snail Shell, personally I liked the texture and wanted to see if I could bring out some detail with such a basic setup
