Northern Kelp Crab, Pugettia producta, aka Spider Crab, in a tide pool with a lot of hermit crabs at Point of Arches at the end of Shi Shi Beach along the Pacific Ocean in Olympic National Park, Washington State, USA
In addition to raising fish, I raise (!) two or three varieties of aquatic snails. I found this snailshell in the tank one day. From tip to tip it's less than 1/4" long. I shot this with a 300mm macro, and the plane of focus is about 1/8" wide.
