Just for the record the title refers to the transition from water to sky and vice versa and not the current state of the Brexit process!!! This gem was first shown to me 6 years ago by a friend. In the summertime this is a very popular spot and behind me there is a really nice beach bar but right now is very calm and peaceful. On this visit and right after I set my tripod I tried to cross to the left of the scene to put my camera bag down. In the process I slipped on the rock and while trying to save the gear (who wouldn’t 😂😂) I obtained a couple of bruises and cuts. That was not enough to stop me as I really liked the ambience and the soft tones. One would think that this is the end of the story but no...after sun went down and I packed away I decided to wash my hand in the sea to clean it; as I was approaching the water I see my phone (in slow motion) falling from my pocket into the water. I can tell two things: 1. I am surprised that my phone still works and 2. It’s not pleasant going in the water in January!

Thank you for looking and sorry for the essay but I thought it was quite funny (retrospectively obviously!)

Despite everything I had a very calming tune in mind: youtu.be/pkitw9LUB88

It is such a treat to watch these otters hunting in the waterways in the middle of the city, Singapore.

I decided to shoot this one with a long exposure to try to beautify the raging torrents of water that were passing beside me.

Crotophaga ani (Smooth-billed Ani / Garrapatero)

The Smooth-billed Ani is a widespread resident of scrub and forest clearings from the Caribbean and Costa Rica south to Uruguay and northern Argentina; it also occurs in south Florida, although the population there has declined significantly there in recent years. Smooth-billed Anis live in small flocks and eat a variety of insects, small vertebrates and fruit.

Symphyotrichum laeve (Smooth blue aster)

Symphyotrichum laeve (formerly Aster laevis) is a flowering plant native to Canada and the United States.

The flower heads are arranged in clusters (panicles). Each flower head has 13 to 23 ray florets with pale to dark blue or purple petals (laminae), and 19 to 33 disc florets that start out yellow and eventually turn purplish-red. The whole flowerhead measures 13 to 25 millimeters (1⁄2 to 1 in) across.

It is a moment in time, a fraction of our lives, that we should stand still and reflect. I should train myself to do that more often...

...and crystal water! What a place!

In order to rile up the troops after purchasing the Delaware & Hudson, Canadian Pacific reached out to the employees and their families by running "picnic trains". This one being the first of such running sported two freshly painted MLW C242's ran between Binghamton, NY and Oneaonta to the "railroad park" is witnessed through Bainbridge, NY. At Oneonta they met a picnic train from Albany that sported D&H painted geeps. A gathering of friends and co-workers that normally would see each other when just passing on the rails. This was a fine gesture by the new owners.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo💜💜 💕💕💕❤️❤️❤️

I’d checked the tides and it was either going to be Tuesday or Wednesday morning, Wednesday won but I feel I chose poorly. It seemed that the sky was more expressive yesterday, and I know the sea was rougher, still I was out and that is the main thing. Walking along the lonely pebbled beach at 4:30am halfway to my intended spot I heard footsteps behind me, my heart sunk, another photographer. Don’t get me wrong I’m as sociable as the next guy but I do like to be alone on these early morning sessions. So I stopped to take in the view and say hello as he walks passed, I’ll probably make more of an introduction after session if he’s still around, I always do. Sure enough he walks right over to where I was heading for, doh, big beach I find something else. The contrast between the still waters of the rock pools and open sea first drew me to this composition, with the attraction of the smooth limestone outcrop. It’s another seascape I know but I don’t think it’s the right time to be trailing across the country to the mountains, competing with all the can’t go abroad band, I usually avoid the lakes during the summer holiday season anyway, so this year is no different. I might venture up to Cheviots next week to see how the heather is getting on.

Britain's most common and most successful duck the mallard. So common I nearly always take them for granted and go off in pursuit of more elusive species.
