With little noise the stream travels through the woods bringing life’s riches from one place to another. Fish, frogs and other water dwellers travel within the stream providing food for others. Listen closely to hear the quiet noises when “Smoothly Water Runs” Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe. Be kind to everyone and smile.

Black-crowned night heron performing a smooth landing in the canal. I'm looking forward to the return of these beautiful herons this summer. Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
I've just noticed some asters starting to bloom in the prairie areas we check out regularly. I haven't spotted any New England Asters yet, but I found several of these blooming at the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge. I enjoy finding wild asters because they are so pretty, but it is a little bittersweet because it means the wildflower and butterfly season is about over for another year. I must admit I am guessing at the ID of this. I also came up with Sky-blue Aster. Both are native to Iowa. Perhaps someone can help. The bloom is about 3/4-1 inch across.
Another macro shot from a blooming plant here at the botanical garden. I like the smooth look.
Und noch ein Makro aus dem botanischen Garten hier in Hof. Ich mag besonders den weichen Ausdruck dieses Bildes.

Moody clouds and extended shutter on the water made for some interesting contrasts while there at Lake Louise.
