Our road is lined with decrepit powerlines. While mostly Hemingrays can be found here, the occasional other brand is often located.
This Peterbilt was Tboned by another Peterbilt. It wasn't pretty but no one was hurt.

The recent windstorm knocked over a powerline that, between the wind and wire tension, was dragged across four lanes of road and smashed right into the sign in front of Kouryou-chan's school.

The USPS is generally pretty good about delivering things without damage, but occasionally Something Goes Wrong. This rack (the prototype for the FBM/Endpoint Hunter-Gatherer semi-fatbike) was being returned so it could be adjusted to fit the H-G through-axle fork, but it had an unfortunate incident somewhere between Richmond and Portland.
The mailman rang the doorbell when the package was delivered just so he could tell me that it was like that before delivery, so I actually had a witness when I unpacked it and saw this smashed-flat ruin.

Must've hit something fairly hard judging by the angle of the front wheel. Luckily the rising values of these cars mean this will probably be repaired rather than scrapped, as the rest of it looked fairly tidy
Smashed bullet-proof glass combined with sundown created this abstract shot. No editing done, except for the crop.
In the early hours of 24-03-11 my neighbours son's Audi was smashed using a concrete block. The b*****d's hid behind a tree at the front of the property to avoid being seen on CCTV they have installed. We know who done it though.
Some crackhead smashed the window and stole the GPS that I had under the seat.

I returned home that night to see a story on the local news regarding an increase in GPS theft in Monroe County. So it seems, timing really is everything.
On a shoot for Bolandi Classics my camera dropped about a foot. A collective gasp ran through the crew. I'd dropped cameras before, they're pretty sturdy pieces of equipment these Nikon cameras. So I wasn't worried. We continue shooting, then the model, Samy Osman grabs the camera and starts shooting after I was finished for the day. He points the camera at me and I see that the fall did indeed do damage. The protective filter, smashed! So smashed in fact that I couldn't get it of the lens with out significant effort. All the pictures above where taken after the filter smashed. You can see the damage on the filter. Hard core! Yet little to absolutely no effect on the pictures!

chickpeas, parsley, lemon zest, onion, kalamata onion, salt, pepper, olive oil - all things i have on hand at any time. and i even found a cheaper olive source while still supporting a local specialty shop!
we threw it together in minutes and ate it on my homemade flax seed sourdough and had a hearty, healthy, fresh, easy and cheap dinner in no time. after one bite i was hooked and coulda eaten the whole bowl. i took to the streets telling folks about it too. who wouldn't like it?
also think it would be great as a dip with some homemade pita chips, as an alternative to hummus.
