Macro Monday theme: Glass

Never again.

I'll slit my throat with the knife I pulled out of my spine.

Maybe when you find out that I'm dead,

You'll realize what you did to me.

And if my lungs still let me breathe,

Would you be there for me.

If I can make myself believe,

I'll give you back what you took away.

No, I won't let it go.

Douse myself in gasoline.

So don't save me when you come into the fire.

I'd rather die than have to see your smile.

Thanks for looking.

It took me a long time to create this design.

I did a cake smash photo shoot with my granddaughter as she turned one year old. I don't know how that happened, time has a habit of running away! She looked so cute and I struggled to know which photo to choose so may end up posting more. It was more of a cake slide than a smash and she loved the raspberries.

I'm afraid this child's metal bailing pail (with a bottom diameter of about 4.0 inches) is beyond repair.

a find on my hard drive

Not the clearest of shots but i love this pic of Rups enjoying himself. He had so much fun being smashed by the waves on a recent camping trip to Northumberland!

Sometimes it can be a good idea to wander down forbidding looking alleys.

This one is south of Danforth near Main Street in Toronto. I really like the patterns and textures.

Not HDR.

From a year ago. Bust stop windows shot out. Shot with Canon S90

Vandalism leaves its mark again on an aging beauty.

For Macro Mondays - Broken

I don't often wear watches, especially with a phone that shows me the time when I need it. I find they often get in the way, lost because I have had to take it off to do something, or like this one smashed.

Happy Macro Monday!

For 'Macro Mondays' theme of 'Glass' !

Rubbish in our area is collected once a week, at least bottles and glass are if you have enough and you can remember to put them outside the front gate. A rectangular blue plastic box complete with black lid is supplied and between collections ours is kept in the garage. Looking to see if there were any clear glass bottles among those for wine (!) there was just one. So fetching a large stone that is usually kept at the bottom of a bucket to keep it from blowing away, I dropped it onto the clear bottle. The result was shattered glass including this piece from the bottle neck.

Back on the desk top, out with the spray bottle that I've just acquired (was discarded rubbish), a bit of lighting, and this is the result.

Russian Jupiter 11 (Fat Boy) 135mm ...................................... about 2"

The Frisco pier on Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks North Carolina. A beautiful sunrise glow rising from behind illuminates the broken shadow of the pier, which has been repeatedly hammered by multiple hurricanes and now barely remains standing.

A short road trip out to the coast with Kevin Benedict for some sunset and sunrise shooting. We had hoped for a little more cloud moving in here, but any day out shooting with good light is a good day! I also managed to shoot the pier this time without having a wave drag my tripod and camera in to the ocean as it did last time :( That was a hard lesson learned about shooting on the beach! The surf was considerably calmer this time thankfully.

This was shot in a ghost town. It was built to be a "Las Vegas in Brianza", but it ended up being abandoned and then destroyed.
