I'm not sure how easy it is to see, but those birds are on the outside of the cage... We were inside a little aviary kinda place. Lots of cool birds and a few rats scurrying back and forth.

Of course, many Jurassic Park and raptor jokes ensued. "Yeah, first there's the ooo-ing and the aah-ing followed by the running and screaming..."

After the performance, the friends pose for a quick pic. (they didn't wanna stand still at ALL! *laughs*)

Tonight must have been a planthopper convention at the pub. There were at least 10 or 12 of these guys, mixing and mingling and generally having a great time. One of them saw me shooting pictures and asked if I wouldn't mind getting a closeup shot of him for his optometrist. It appears that he got his red eye socked in and needs to get a doctor referral.
