I was in starbucks grabbing a frappuccino when I saw their display of the various stages of the coffee bean... I stole these two little beans from the display!
these are the tiniest little bees gathering pollen ..(well i think they are bees coz they behave like bees and look like them altho they are a lot smaller) they'd probably measure 1/8" or 3mm .. the flower is about 3/4" or 15mm long ..

A look inside our colorful home. I am trying to document how the house looks and feels before even more packing starts happening. This was the first time in my adult life (through owning two houses) that I allowed myself to be fully chaotic throughout the entire house. It has been fun, but I can already tell I need more planning and some calm spaces in the next home when we move. Every day a little more of our chaotic hoard disappears and I’m glad to be able to document it as it is in every stage.

Species as yet unknown, though I see them in my yard all the time. It's very, very tiny; that's a fuschia leaf it's sitting on. Unclear in this photo, but the 'glyphs' on the wings are quite striking in person. The body is bright gleaming copper in sunlight.
Alas, the leaf surface is in focus, so the fly's back ... isn't. But it's still the clearest shot of one of these I've managed to get so far (thank you, brand-new Sony DSC-W50!).
If you look closer you can see that the windows on old trains are different. You just have to look for small things :))
