Jay and I visiting Deception Pass with Jordana (obviously not pictured...) Jay wanted to walk, but the boardwalk was kinda thin and she was in a rather defiant stage. I didn't want her wandering through the flora/fauna with reckless abandon, plus we didn't have spare shoes or socks. No puddle jumping for you!

fierce bull on the 'mountain'

We picked up this little guy near ... a really big waterfall. I wish I remembered the name but I don't so I'll hafta come back and fill it in later. *sigh*

Anyway - there are heaps of monkeys there. Not cute fuzzy little adorable ooo-oo-aah-aah monkeys. More like "Ladies with pellet guns coming to save the tourists from the evil wild monkeys" kind of monkeys.

Small Thing enjoyed watching them. She did not enjoy them stealing things NOR did she enjoy the lady with the pellet gun stalking them.

Amusing side note - the monkeys did seem to have coordinated attacks AND a look out. Lady with pellet gun didn't get a chance to fire a single shot - the monkeys were out of there, man. *poof*

Gone.

Just before she went to perform, she was nervous! The officer club had loads of parents and visiting family members watching the recital. "Do I really have to go in front of ALL these PEOPLE?"

April Fools is twice the fun when you give two thirsty girls a glass of "juice" which turns out to be jello in disguise!

I wasn't sure I'd pull it off, considering how the straws wibble wobbled in the jello, but they didn't suspect a thing! WOOHOO!

Attempt number five! Flying solo again for this one. I think I finally figured out the formula! This isn't the best one of the bunch, but this is the first splash! See? the ground's dry in this one and you can see the water almost landing beside the glass.

I also like how the droplets (close to the little bear) shines in the sun. Better in black.
