The view from ETH’s main building is always good.

SD60Es are now the norm for local power in a lot of spots due to the NS fire sale of other models. A pair of the aforementioned SD60Es are seen at Salisbury, NC running light back to Old Yard after completing their work along the S Line.

I'm able to catch CSX train F741. I catch it's counterpart F742 quite often since it's been running in the evening. I'm never in town when 741 passes through so this made me happy! : )

I pulled this off the video which is here.

NS P87 rolls by the depot and signals at Marion, NC.

Decided to go out to capture the sunrise South of Anchorage. I had some really good light and the temperatures weren't too bad. It was warm enough to go out shooting with a sweatshirt. Mostly because I forgot my coat at home.

With the sound of a Nathan K5L to make sure the people of Biltmore Village are awake, NS P87 makes the usual morning run to Bridgewater. With the Evergreen Packaging Company in Canton set to close within the next 2 months at the time of this scene, P87 became a priority for me to document. I was lucky in that P87, the local that runs to the Bridgewater Chip Mill that serves Evergreen & the only guarantee move over the Southern Loops, was set to make its final run the following Thursday. Another case of get out & document because you never know when you may get lucky with timing. 4-25-23

NS M23 rolls through the East side of Statesville, NC with an SD60, SD70, and an SD70M-2.

Empties from Plant Marshall make their way east on the S-Line (I believe technically the AS-Line now) on their long journey back to the mines.

Not sure how this N&W boxcar ended up here to stay, but it makes for a neat sight when a freight train passes by, such as NS P61.

For a U Turn and some back tracking. I could smell the new paint as soon as I got out of my truck...

A rare late (daylight) NS 136 rolls through the open fields of Del Rio as it exits the tight confines of the Smokies.

Steep grades, standard cabs, and 100 cars of W.V. Diamonds! NS Q44 defends the grade at High Fill with the dynamics screaming and wheels grinding the sharp curves.

Of trying to catch a train with the railroad house in the same pic. It's turning out to be a lot harder than I thought. I usually know about when this train will run so I've been experimenting with it...

That I'm really starting to like shooting from. This was train F741 that runs from Raleigh to Hamlet every day. It was a nice one today with over 120 cars!

Suncrest, Burnaby, British Columbia

NS 751 rolls west on the River Line. Bridgeport.

For train F742 to pass by in less than a minute from the time this was taken. The Railroad House in town is always a favorite of mine to get shots.

P61 glides through Eufola Siding towards Oyama, NC, where it will terminate for the evening.

Pedersons of SALE International S-Line out and about on the Strezlecki Highway through Mirboo North in 2012

The local Audi dealership loaned me a car yesterday whilst mine was being repaired.

As the weather is so nice I thought I would drop the hood and take it for a spin! I have not tried an in-car long exposure before. It's a shame I don't have the car this evening as I am sure I could address the problem areas. May be next time...

Schade irgendwie .. 😬

At just under four meters long, it's currently the manufacturer's smallest model. In February 2022, Audi announced that production of the A1 would be discontinued without replacement, as Audi intends to focus on producing larger cars in the future. It's a shame, somehow... 😬
