Khibiny Tundras is a mountain range located within the Arctic Circle on the Kola Peninsula, Russia.
After scanning and not seeing my skies-and-clouds again, I re-did them with triple intensity. It worked!
I slipped into the corner café this morning, books tucked under one arm and my sketchpad under the other, not expecting to collide with a scene lifted straight from a daydream. The barista—broad-shouldered, warm smile—was none other than the life-drawing model from my studio class, the one who had stood so unapologetically nude before us last week. His eyes flickered with recognition as I leaned against the counter, letting him take in the playful lines of my Taissa Top by Newphe.
The silhouette is a flirtation in fabric—slim straps kissing my shoulders, the cropped hem teasing just above my waist, the soft lace trim tracing delicate whispers of intimacy. Its ribbon tie curves downward like a bow waiting to be untied, a gesture of invitation more than ornament. Cut to hug the body yet leave just enough play at the edges, the Taissa balances innocence and allure the way only true design can.
In truth, it feels like a love letter to cultural youth—like strolling across a leafy college campus in autumn, coffee in hand, philosophy books under arm, and every glance a silent poem. This top borrows from the bralette-meets-camisole revolution of the 1990s, the era when lingerie began its rebellious walk out of the bedroom and onto city streets. But there’s also something timeless, something of the French café girl, the painter’s muse, the co-ed whose casual elegance turns a coffee line into a stage.
The HUD fatpack unlocks an entire wardrobe of moods: soft pastels for mornings in the quad, sultry neutrals for twilight readings, bold shades for evenings when curiosity becomes courage. Each color reshapes the story—yet the lace detail, that romantic frame, always remains the signature.

Lake Seliger is a large system of linked lakes featuring many small islands and which is surrounded by pine forests and fields. It is considered one of the true nature's gems of Russia and a cultural center of Russia with many churches and monasteries located in proximity of each other. It is a place of pilgrimage for devoted Orthodox Christians. In recent years the lake's shores became not only a desired real estate, but also a selected location for pro-Putin youth camps.

After a photo by Fiona McRae who challenged me to interpret her beautiful photo. www.flickr.com/photos/sunshinenshadows/49680129323/ It was sketched on the cardboard back of a sketchpad it was just a bit of a test really - when I scanned the sketch the green/gray cardboard turned into a lovely warm colour - matched pretty well the rest and the original photo - so lets go with it.

"I think you can understand the challenge of what Robert Bresson termed "necessary images," especially as it relates to the reduction of the mystery of faith from the broadest of its dimensions to a human 2D image. I have been wrestling with how to move beyond the confines of the iconic and traditional to explore faith and mystery in visual terms that make it intriguing, appealing, and approachable. I suppose it will always be a journey and never a destination"
Adjusting the values after adding a bit of background. Drawn with a Staedtler 0.3mm pencil and Tombow Mono zero eraser in an A4 cartridge paper sketchpad.
