I had a rare find when I was out and about recently -- a beautiful feather. I looked it up and think it is a red-tailed hawk tail feather from a first molting. I was able to do a very rough sketch of it and took some photos. I hope to do a more detailed pen and ink study of it, adding color. This is graphite pencil with some colored pencil added to get a sense of the color scheme.
I love the pattern of dark brown, tan, and creamy white and was fascinated to see all of the details up-close.
Have you ever found anything unusual in your wanderings that you were able to draw or photograph?

A cartoon entitled "The Member for Gravesend" showing
Mr. W. W. Jacobs, speaking to Sir Gilbert Parker (who was MP for Gravesend in Kent, England):
Text: "It's no sort of use talking to them about the Unity and Integrity of the Empire. All they want is that you should sit down on your hat and stand rum all round."
Part of a collection of materials gathered by Jack Adams for his book 'Seated with the Mighty', a biography of Sir Gilbert Parker, published in 1979. The materials were donated in March 1987.
You know the sort of thing, cut stuff off so it'll go faster in a straight line, we think of it as a bike for mooching about the lanes and streets on, feet forward, grin on your face, sit-up-and-beg - you can call it a 'Bobber' if you like... we call it 'Spud'.
Le centre de Spa est largement tributaire des grands travaux de la fin du XIXe S :
Casino, église néoromane, établissement des Bains...
I've been daydreaming about this set all week. Today I finally got down to sketch it and sort of figure out the pattern I will have to draft.
I love "Annie" the musical and the movie. It's a dear part of my childhood, and I think this set captures that. A sort of glamorous Annie.
I have to find something floaty for the skirt.

A sketch drawn with improvisation years ago.
Merry Christmas for everyone. :-)
Randocroquis dans les rues de Paris : le samedi à Montmartre, le dimanche autour du Pont-Neuf. Ces croquis sont des explications des consignes d'exercices. Quelques fois on voit des dessins pêle-mêle, parfois des images plus finalisées.
I sketched this weeks ago.
Her name would be Astrid and she's a swedish-like girl with deep pink hair, that i'm thinking of rerooting myself. I would be using my new CS as a base, and her scalp for the reroot.
These were just a few outfit sketches too that i'd like to try, but from my experience already, sewing doll clothes is not easy. try try try again.
