Drawing "The ship of fools" detail

Some more of my recent doodles and ideas.

Sometimes I like to draw from photos—and of course Flickr is the coolest place to draw from. The image of Jes C in the upper left can be found here. The one of my sweet daugher Ava on the right is here.

There was no photo reference for the two hands around Ava's face on the bottom left. Just playin' around. I like to draw hands.

sometimes you just have to put pencil to paper and make something happen.

for me in full color, see any of my last 6000 pics.

Oops – a little late to the party here.

I picked a familiar spot with a street light to be a little daring again. Charcoal was great for capturing the deep blacks and gradations of light. Not much detail in this one though... more block-like.

Fun!

Collection of sketches used as pre production of my fashion serieses, they all took an average of 15 mins. They were lots of help to conceptualize the poses and ideas behind thie photos, inspired or sometimes copied from fashion magazines, comics, and friends.

Seriously thinking about quiting, I have zero inspiration these days, what do you think?

Sketch tinted in Photoshop.

It's a sketch of Dolly Market's characters -- Pita & Parfait and Co.

I don't think I captured their personalities well... They look a bit older than they should be I think.

I reverted back to my 'normal' style for this. Very happy looking girls in awkward poses. It's easier to draw without thinking "these are dolls" and just characters....even though they are dolls. I guess it doesn't make much sense.

I've been trying to capture the personality of my cat in my sketches. They (the sketches) are beginning to look more like him.

I drew this one yesterday and I really like how it turned out. I kind of wanted to imagine what one a JRPG warrior sort of character would look like once they grow old. It's probably not accurate in that regard at all because I don't play any of those games and I'm not super familiar with that stuff, but it was lots of fun.
