more pages from my sketchbook project sketchbook. i'm assuming they will get even sketchier as the deadline gets closer.

Notes and ideas on the third project.

I don't know about you, but drawing family members and friends, people who you are really familiar with, is a really stressful situation.

I've drawn my dad several times before, but I could really never get his likeliness down on paper. This was a stab at it again. The only other good thing I got out of this is that he fed me an amazing dinner. Gotta love dads!

A5 sketchbook

Essa capa foi feita com trechos escolhidos ao acaso de caligrafias de Claudio Gil em grande formato.

I drew tis shortly before work today from the south face of Swallowfield All Saints church. The church is in a lovely position away from the road.

Swallowfield Church was built by Sir John Le Despencer, in 1256. He had to obtain specially permission from the Pope for its erection. It appears to be much restored although it retains some character and charm, two old Norman doors in evidence.

Mary Russell Mitford, the author of 'Our Village' is buried in the north-east corner of the churchyard

Old page from my sketchbook.

Sketchbook pages that I did at @SPACE_CON. I've got a few more & will post them as I clean them up. This one is out of my hand made bristol sketchbook. I've decided not to make comics in sketchbooks anymore. It's too much of a pain in the neck to scan them properly. I've been using a different process for a long while now.

These sketchbooks are refreshing to see. They have depth and interest, which is a great reflection on your creative ability and and curiosity. This kind of design development is essential in creating unique and innovative solutions for your client. Amazing work.

lots of drawings happened outside of here too but this little stack feels like a different kind of accomplishment.

I wasn't happy with the spread I produced of the Toronto Brickworks (the buildings in the background), so I thought I'd try my hand at acrylics again. I keep James Jean's acrylic work in my mind when I use this medium and it's always disappointing when it turns out nothing like his graceful, light handed paintings. The other thing I have to remind myself whenever I feel down about my acrylic attempts is that he's a artistic god (in my mind) and I am just a mere mortal.
