this year I ordered another one to complete during #the100dayproject but the shipping was delayed due to the virus.

so I got creative, literally. I took apart my sketchbook from last year and started painting the pages. knowing my book for this year would arrive eventually.

happy to say, all my pages for @thesketchbookproject are filled & my new sketchbook has arrived. still need to design the cover pages.

Sketchbook...
I'm having fun doing really simple drawings with just a paintbrush and cheap acrylics. An exercise to not overthink things and just draw.
Two photographers I took inspiration from before beginning my process=product project. The photographers were Giuseppe Ripa and John Pfahl.
I started with blue ink randomly on the page. Then I let my imagination go and came up with this. It reminds me of a mountain scene.
Also featured - the book from which most of my Spanish vocabulary was derived, Los Piratas de Sandokan

these sketchbook pages demonstrate a series of experiments. I have used a coherent organic colour scheme, suggesting alloys, rust, earth and deterioration.
In these early stages of my project the circular format is beginning to become more apparent. The circle has always been a symbol of fertility and life in artwork. It is the imagery of eggs, embryos and the life cycle.
