A single car RTA involving this Smart Fortwo when one of its wheel's fell off the car. A Community responder went to the scene to treat the driver but was given the all clear so no ambulance was needed and a Disco 4 RPU to investigate how the accident happened and to help clear up.

The Story

This is the Christmas morning sunrise shot from the KMVN Resort Terrace. The magnificent himalayan peaks of Trishul, Nanda Devi and Nanda Kot glows in the early morning as the first rays of sun falls on the East face. The surreal clouds also makes the scene more dramatic. This was truly a santa gift for me. It was cloudy and not a single peak was visible on the day one of the trip, thats two days before this.
Peaks seen here in this shot are Trishul I (23360 ft), II (21949 ft), III (19708 ft), Mrigthuni (22489 ft), Maikatoli (22319 ft), Nanda Devi (25643 ft), Pawali Dwar (21860 ft), Nanda Devi East (24389 ft), Nanda Khat (21689 ft), Traill's Pass (17427 ft) & Pindari Glacier (12532 ft), Chhanguch (20741 ft), Nanda Kot (22510 ft), Lapsa Dhura (19400 ft) and Dangthal (19848 ft).
I went to Binsar, Uttarakhand for the Christmas vacation. Binsar is a protected wildlife sancuatry around 32 km from Almora and is the highest point in the Kumaon region. Binsar Hills known and Jhandi Dhar, rise to a height of 2412 m and offer an excellent view of Almora town, Kumaon hills and the greater Himalayan Valley. The surroundings abound in alpine flora, ferns, hanging moss and species of wild flowers. The chief attraction of Binsar is the majestic view of the Himalayas - a 300 km, stretch on famous peaks which includes Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot and Panchachuli in India to Api, Saipal and Jethi Bahirani peaks in Nepal Himalaya.
I stayed at he KMVN Resort at the top of the hill facing the Himalayas. There are a couple of other resorts which are at lower elevation and also does not have Himalayan View. Entry fee to the sanctuary is Rs 150 per person valid for 3 days and Rs 250 for the car. KMVN Resort boasts a terrace at the edge of the cliff which gives the panoramic view. This place is a must visit. What are the things to do for me in Binsar? Well, i went there, checked in, went out to the terrace, sat on the chair and basked the sun, sipped hot tea and enjoyed the view. And believe me i did this continuously for three days and I can do it for my life. It is an amazing feeling. Also take a walk up to the Zero point for seeing the Gangotri peaks on the other side of the hill. I will soon post pictures from my trip where these will be clear. Also do not miss out the sky view before moonrise. You can clearly see the milky way galaxy and innumerable stars and you will feel like you are out of this world. Go there to feel it.
Binsar haas wildlife all around ranging from monkeys, to jungle squirrels to leopard. there is a big variety of bird life also in the jungle.

KMVN Resort: The best views, excellent food, sunny terrace for laid back vacation, walking distance from Zero Point, out of the world environment. But you do not get electricity in the room except for 3 hours in evening, 2 buckets of hot water in the morning and no entertainment of modern world. Go there for laid back life.

I remember our drafting subject during high school. Had a hard time at first, then enjoyed it later. My favorite part was perspective drawing, where you get to see your drawing in a more realistic approach (having a reference/vanishing point).

On Southdown PSV's first day on the 409, Enviro200 108 (YX59 BZB) is seen at Caterham station with a working to Blindley Heath.
This is an extra journey operated in addition to the main service - it is essentially the bus' dead run back to the depot after finishing on the 411, but run in service.
In fact, it comes directly from the 411. The last 411 round trip gets to Caterham-on-the-Hill Court Road at 1417, arriving at the station at 1423. So it must be run as the 411.
However, look at the 409 timetable, and it clearly shows the journey starting at Court Road at 1417, then Caterham station at 1423 and then onwards to Blindley Heath.
So the Caterham-on-the-Hill section to Caterham station is therefore both the 409 and the 411 at the same time. That's fine, but there's nothing on either of the timetables to actually highlight this, or to clarify what to expect the front of the bus to be showing when it turns up!
And the confusion doesn't end there. The 409 runs to Blindley Heath, arriving 1442, and is shown on the 409 timetable as then changing to a 486 and running back to the depot in service as a 486.
The 486 and 487 are a series of positioning journeys which are run in service.
Look at the 486 timetable though, and it shows the same journey as starting in Godstone at 1432, through Blindley Heath at 1442 and then to the depot (arr 1449), all as the 486.
So again, this journey is both a 409 and a 486 between Godstone and Blindley Heath, with no real idea as to what the bus might show on the front!
It's all a bit strange as other journeys on the 486/487 timetable clearly show "Operates as route xxx over this section".

This is a single lane bridge in Canada where drivers must be courteous to each other to allow each side to pass. You don't see many bridges like this in the US for obvious reasons.
Mount Esja is ReykjavÃk’s most iconic mountain, rising sharply across the bay and offering one of the most accessible and popular hiking routes in Iceland. Though not a single peak, Esja is a volcanic mountain range formed millions of years ago by basaltic lava flows and shaped by glacial erosion. It stands as a natural backdrop to the capital, visible from much of the city.
One of the most frequented routes leads to Steinn, a large rock outcrop and popular turnaround point for hikers. Reaching Steinn involves a moderately challenging trail that rewards climbers with sweeping views over ReykjavÃk, Kollafjörður Bay, and the vast Icelandic landscape beyond. Whether hiked in the glow of summer light or the silence before sunrise, the path to Steinn is a favorite among locals and visitors alike—a place where urban life fades into the wilderness.
