Winter's Whispers
by Sheree Zielke
Hide it all beneath your blanket of white and your tapestry of ice and grit.
Chant your north wind whispers through naked trees and barren fields and skies of inky blue.
Entomb those dark and dying yesterday secrets beneath the tramp of your snowy feet.
Keep your silence as you sit and bloom and bide in the failing golden late day light.
Hide behind your icy blush and frigid snowflake touch.
Whisper your frosty bequeaths, puff out your ice crystal breath, as spring creeps in behind.

First entering preservation in 1990 it is seen here mid way through a repaint on display at North Weald Bus Rally on June 28th 1998.
