Bures station, Bures Hamlet, Essex
Bures, the main village and named Bures St Mary in full, is on the other side of the Stour, and thus in Suffolk. But the station is a few hundred yards on the other side of the river in Bures Hamlet, and thus in Essex. There is also Mount Bures for the outer suburbs. All in all, a lovely village.
The station is one of two stops between Sudbury and Marks Tey on the branch line which leads down to the main line running from Norwich and Ipswich towards London. The other is the atmospheric Chappel And Wakes Colne station.
Before 1967, this was the Colchester to Cambridge line, with a junction at Long Melford that would take you on to Thetford, Swaffham and Fakenham. Dual, in those days of course. All gone now.

Class 122 single railcar 55006 in between turns at Penzance on 10th May 1988.
The unit is preserved and is based at the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway where it has been repainted in original green livery. The 122s were built for BR by the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company in 1958.
Now tell the truth! The pieces of my ensemble matched so well they looked like a single piece minidress to you, didn't they?
Well this proves that the bottom half is really a miniskirt! ...And that the top half really is an incredibly tight leotard!
I hope you like the measures I took to prove that to you!
My top is a black wet look lycra spandex long sleeve scoop neck leotard from nydancewear.com's Baltogs custom cut line of dance wear. The bottom is a custom miniskirt of the same fabric from the wonderful Ellie at coquetryclubwear.com. I've matched it up with my Hanes Alive Barely There pantyhose from onehanesplace.com and my black patent peep toe pumps from flirtcatalog.com.

Metroline DE1165 (LK11CWX) is seen at St John's Wood, War Memorial on route 274.
This route will soon gain a full double deck allocation once low trees have been cut down.
I’ve finished applying the conductive tape & electrical wires to these crossovers. I left a gap in the middle to allow for current isolation between the two lines.
I’m contemplating on doing another pair of singles w/o isolation, or at least one double crossover.

Loved the beautiful colours, lighting and detail in this single poppy flower. The blurred colours in the background provided a colourful, slightly surreal backdrop that I really liked. The flat looking background also seemed to add, by contrast, shape and depth to the flower itself.
It's 3:30 in the afternoon on a hot (85 degree) late September afternoon along the Mississippi River just west of Stockholm, WI.
It's a 131-car HGALNTW1-28A racing toward the Northtown with all sorts of merchandise traffic. The shades of green are starting to change but I think the recent stretch of warm weather will push the color change back a week or so in October.
Seen working the 15:15 70A service from Royal Parade to Cawsand is Enviro 200 WJ65HMA 147. These Rame routes are normally covered by the 65 Reg Enviro 400's, 147 has been entered in to cover.
I believe 147 has the redesigned bumpers which allow a bit of extra clearance on the ferry ramps when embarking and disembarking the ferry.
