Some day the dinosaur will be an appropriate symbol for big oil. I hope that is not the case for instant film. Holga w/Polaroid back.

The owner pulled up as I was taking these and told me this was built in 1939. First he said it was an Exxon, then he changed that to a Humble Oil. I think it was a Sinclair.

Sinclair Ferguson talks about "Why the God-man?"

The bookplate of Sinclair, in the collection of Daniel B. Fearing. Dimensions: 7 x 8.2. Features: two griffins on either side of crest; eagle on nest atop crest; four ships; "Fide Sed Pugna". Type: Bookplate. In the Fearing Fish Armorial collection.

I don't think this is an original Sinclair Oil Company station but a recreation of one in Durand, Michigan. It has a number of original artifacts.
