Understanding the impacts of vegetation on soil loss is important to helping land managers take care of the land. Through the use of large-scale rainfall simulation, we studied the impacts of brush removal on military training lands and how much soil is saved/lost before and after the land treatment.

Lots going on here. This center has an SP corridor where SPs enter their rooms and from where faculty monitors can watch encounters live through the one-way glass in the door. They can use the headphones to listen.
Note the big 5 room number and the standard signage. They said the never refer to the actual room number (252) but on the exam room number. SPs and students go into the wrong rooms so they but the BIG number up. Students are often put into Groups and group 1 would naturally go to room 1 so they started moving the room numbers around to accommodate this tendency. The small "Exam Room 5" sign is actually a magnetic strip the can remove and switch with any room sign.
They learned that if they wanted to run two different sessions in the center at the same time they could use signage to number two sets of rooms 1-10 (they have 20 exam rooms).

Bereits morgens um neun Uhr waren Fahrzeugkonvois aus Hameln und anderen Orten zur Evakuierung aufgebrochen. In größeren Städten fanden geschlossene Menschenketten statt. Es war eine der größten Demonstrationen gegen das Kraftwerk überhaupt.

Strömngssimulation aus 2009 mit FlowSimulation. Für nachhaltige Elektromobilität müssen Fahrzeuge effizienter werden. Das ist duch die konsequente Anwendung von Bionik und Anforderungsmanagement möglich.

The number of grid points are 121 billion(=10240x1536x7680) for each velocity component.
On the side of the picture, the magnitude of velocity component in stream-wise direction.
U = 0(blue) ~ 1.5(Red)
On the top, it shows the velocity gradient at the wall, which is basically the surface drag of fluid motion at the wall.
