The Dean`s Reception on September 20th 2013 was held at the University of Ottawa Skills and Simulation Center. Alumni from all over North America reunited to celebrate Homecoming weekend.

Gen. Paik Sun-yup, the Republic of Korea’s first four-star general and the author of “From Pusan to Panmunjom” visited the Korea Battle Simulation Center on Wednesday to see the key exercise control facility and speak to the quarterly professional development group. Gen. Paik spoke for nearly an hour on his experiences in the Korean War, the development of the ROK-U.S. Alliance, and the rebuilding of his country following the war.

angenommenen Evakuierungsgebietes rund um das AKW Grohnde fand aus Anlass des zweiten Fukushima-Jahrestages eine Katstrophen-Simulation statt: Flüchtlingstrecks, Dekontaminierungsstationen, Jodtabletten-Ausgaben. Bereits morgens um neun Uhr waren Fahrzeugkonvois aus Hameln und anderen Orten zur Evakuierung aufgebrochen. In größeren Städten fanden geschlossene Menschenketten statt. Es war eine der größten Demonstrationen gegen das Kraftwerk überhaupt.

On 22nd - 24th February 2023, we hosted a 3-day business simulation game for our MSc in Energy Management students that focused on customer value in the car industry and how to find the fine balance between value proposition and profitability.
Faced with different scenarios, student teams had to come up with quick decisions and offer best solutions to the set problems. Here are some pictures of teams deep into brainstorming on Day 2.

This 1969 Firebird is on the slow track to looking purty again. But it has a great drive train, is insured and hits the streets periodically. Cant stop for gas with out someone asking if I want to sell it.
My work at inxsol (http://www.inxsol.com/simulation.aspx) illustrates how we build training for mechanical systems such as aircraft engine maintenance as found at OEMs like Honeywell or GE. These simulations require a cross over of programming and subject matter expertice. I am not an AMT certified technician but I have worked with avionics and fighter jet design.
