Simplicity

In post, I cropped and adjusted the image to produce the desired simplicity effect. The color tone tool was used to create more contrast between the shadows around the frame of the fireplace and the subject that is framed inside. The red and yellow colors were revived to enhance the effect of the fire in the background and also to provide a more vivid contrast with the main subject, which is darker and placed in the lower-left third.

I used Kims Simplicity texture . . .hence the title :-)

I made this top using Simplicity pattern 2596 with the top of view A and the embellishments of view B. It was an easy top to put together and there's so many different things you can do with it. This was my first time using embellishments on a top.

Someone has forgotten to connect the most important wire.......

If you want to protect your electronic stuff, don't forget this one!

Have a great week!

Those sleeves looked cuter on the pattern envelope model than on me. For my "real" version I chose the short sleeves.

Bodice is Simplicity 5695 - skirt is my own design. Assorted quilting cotton from Joann's and Hobby Lobby.

You can read more about it on my blog Here

A sweet little shirtwaist for my sweet little princess. Loving the lace trim on pocket and collar!

I found a copy of this at an antique store for $1. The envelope is destroyed and I have no idea what size it is. I'm not sure yet if it's complete. I hope it is; I love the blue version. 2 1/2 yards.

I sewed this last Summer from $1/yard fabric. It's pretty cute, I believe I made the next - to - smallest size and it fits me perfectly except for the hood. The hood is my dirty little secret, it is so small and silly looking when I put it on.

4 1/2 yards. Seems like a lot for that dress . . .
